This majolica pitcher has an unusual anchor and chain pattern around the top and pale pink flowers with green leaves on a cream background in the center. It has a brown basket weave bottom. There is some clay shrinkage on the inside. See picture for details. There are no marks.

Impressed mark for 1848 – 1868. Height of teapot "4 ½ / 11 cm including handle, diameter of saucer "5 ½ / 14 cm. Condition: a nick to the cup (cf. pics).

Stevens & Williams Vaseline Opalescent Epergne stands 13" tall, made in the 1880's! The base is 8" wide. Has a couple of very small bubbles within the bowl. Otherwise, it has no chips or scratches. Offered is this beautiful, 'Osiris'-type art glass vase with applied handles, made most likely, by Stevens & Williams in England, around 1890. Probably the 'Pull-up' machine, invented by John Northwood (when he was Artistic Director at Stevens & Williams), was used for the zippered pattern on the vase. This is a lovely 18th century Japanese Arita (we think) blue and white porcelain plate, bearing a peach mark and surrounded by bats, good luck signs; decorated with bands of stylized cloud forms and flowers; rim chips; 7 3/8".

Chinese Han Dynasty 206 BC to 220 AD tomb offering pottery jar in Green glaze the foot has a few spur fragments from firing . The glaze with a wonderful iridescent sheen. Size H 4.5" by 5.5" wide

Skillfully sculpted in the late 1800's, this exquisite leaf compote is shrouded in a generous coating of gold aventurine. The leaf portion is very thin and masterfully executed freehand. The stem is hollow, and it and the foot are blown into a rib mold and are hot worked into a spiral pattern. At around age 120, the leaf compote is in perfect condition. Measuring 3.5"x6"x6.5"h., the piece is unmarked.

Found in Freeport, Maine, this is a PAIR of circa 1870 American drawings, (possibly a bit earlier), the first of General George Washington on a prancing horse, the second of a cut glass compote overflowing with fruit. Each measures 11 3/4" by 8 3/4" inside the mats, 16" by 12" overall, one of the mats deep maroon, the other, black. They are unframed, taped on the reverse to the mats at the edges...

This charming covered jar in translucent yellow glass is topped with an opaque green fruit with stem. Made in the 1890s by Salviati. The body of the jar and lid are ribbed and have a lovely iridescence. The bottom of the base has multi-point pontil marks. It stands 6" high and 4" wide. A similar fruit-topped lid is shown in Carol Osbourne's "Venetian Glass of the 1890s: Salviati at Stanford University" P. 126, Plate 137. The piece is in excellent condition.

This could be your lucky day, here is a four leaf clover needle case probably made by the Woodland Indians in the North East. It opens like a book and has three round pieces wool of white wool with green floss edging. The clover is made with green floss. the sewing needle case is hinged with a green ribbon tied in a bow and the latch is also green ribbon that ties to keep it closed. It is in excellent condition. It is 2 1/2" in diameter. Circa late 1800's.

This basked is American, circa 1880. It is white with blue ruffled trim, and has what appears to be mica is the glass. The handle is clear, and it is quite large, measuring 9 1/2" tall x 11" wide and 7 1/2" deep. It is in perfect original condition.

Offered is a fabulous, very early example of Tramp Art- a style of woodworking which emerged in America in the latter half of the nineteenth century. This beautiful hand painted Muhlhause vase is hand painted and enameled. The glass is an opaque soft white and the enameling design is floral. The colors are rich and the decoration is bright with gold trim to suggest naturalistic Art Nouveau themes of foliage, birds and flowers.

This Staffordshire standing greyhound and hare figurine is 11 1/2" tall. The base is 3 1/4" deep and 9 1/2" long. There are no crack , no chips, and no repairs to this item. This item only has one scratch on his back. This item is circa 1860.

This large, brilliant, cut glass pitcher, measures 11" tall x 5 1/4" diameter on the bottom. I am not an expert on cut glass, but I know a good piece when I see it, and this is one of them. Although I cannot find a signature, I'm sure the pattern will be identifiable to an expert who knows their patterns. There are a couple of very minor flakes at the top, otherwise in perfect condition.

Description: basket has an applied blown handle. The base is round with bubble design.

American Rockingham, the ware for which Bennington, Vermont became famous in the mid 19th century, is English in origin and name for the Marquis of Rockingham, whose works at Swinton produced a ware similar brownish color. The pottery itself is cream colored or yellow ware that is dipped in or spattered with a brown glaze before firing.
