Chinese Wooden Grain Measuring Bucket, 11" high, 7 1/4" square-top, 14" square-bottom, with heavy black iron mounted frame with multiple studded iron nails, the heavy iron frame covers around the top rim, underneath 2 sides with attached wooden handles. Bottom area of black iron mounted frame is somewhat rusted and damaged with age, and some age cracks on wood.
This Uzbek textile from northern Afghanistan is called a "bolim posh" meaning a canopy held over the bride and groom at the wedding ceremony. Large Japanese Showa period circular form burlwood tray with raised sides made from a single piece of wood. 15 7/8” diameter x 2 1/4" high. The raised sides are 3/8" thick. Weighs just over 2 lbs. A Fukagawa porcelain vase showing wisteria vines and flowers, and a yellow bird. The vase is signed with the Fuji Mountain mark. The vase measures about 9 1/2" tall x 4 1/4" in diameter, and dates to the middle of the 20th Century. Condition: The condition is excellent/perfect, Free shipping within the USA.
A large heavy Korean brass bowl or tray that was used to carry smaller bowls of rice and vegetables to men working in the fields. The bowl was wrought to shape, and it shows the evidence of being hand pounded. The Bowl measures about 3 1/2" high x 13 1/2" in diameter, weighs about 3 1/2 pounds, and dates to the early 20th Century. The condition is very good with only minor surface tarnish and corrosion. It was the custom in Korea to polish brass, and such a bowl would shine up beautifully...

A pair of Japanese wooden carvings of the Nio, or wrathful guardians to the Buddha. While Buddhism beliefs are typically pacifist, the Nio justified physical force in order to defend against evil and are usually found on either side of a temple door. The Nio called Misshaku Kongo or Agyo keeps his mouth open to represent the first sound in the Sanskrit language "a", symbolizing birth and overt violence...
