This is a beautiful pair of small saucer in the motif of a lotus flowers in a pond. On the saucer, it has a outstanding stalk of lotus flower standing upright in full bloom. Below it, there are also two smaller flowers in full bloom. One of the flowers to the left has the petals dropping off showing the green pod, suggesting that the season is probably near mid summer. Chinese famille rose porcelain double gourd vase with various flowers and butterflies painted on a white ground. The base border is painted with alternating bats, flowers and fruits all in iron red. The top rim is covered in gilt, complete with an iron red surrounding border. In the middle is a ribbon. The inside is glazed white, as well as the base with the base rim left unglazed. In the center of the base is a four character over-glaze iron red Jiaqing mark 1796-1820.
