Japanese Dragon decorated Lacquer and crushed Egg shell inlaid Document Box, 2 7/8" high, 11 3/4" wide 4" deep, with copper color metal hinges, lock box with key hole in front. Some lacquer losses are all around, eggshell decorated dragon is looking upward towards Mt. Fuji. The condition is fair, shows some lacquer losses.

Japanese white solid Porcelain Pestle, heavy weight, 9 1/2" long, 2 1/2" diameter-widest part, with glazed solid white porcelain except tip of round grinding area which is unglazed. The size of Kogai with Metal end: 5 7/16" Long, The size of Lacquer Kogai: 5 1/4" L x 5/8" W. Metal ends Kogai, Hair pin made by buffalo bone I think. It is removable as photo showing. Each end has Kinbari(gld filled) finish. It has "Kinbari" marking on each end as last photo showing. Kinbari(gold filled) is heavier than Kin-mekki(gold plated). Other is lacquer finish over some king bone. It is pretty light but not plastic. The condition of metal ends Kogai is excellent condition...

It has a flea bite chips at the inner rims and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

Attractive Japanese lacquer box containing matching pair of covered boxes. The leaves and flowers of the branches design are gold makie. The large box is 12 inches x 5 inches x 2 inches high. Top of large box is slightly dulled with age and exposure. Inside boxes approx 3 inches x 5 inches x 1.5 inches high and are pristine. No loss and no damage.

A fabulous dark royal blue Nagoya obi with painting of men crossing a bridge. Screen printed with some hand painting, the figures are drawn in a modern art deco style. Early Showa. The obi measures 38” to the fold and 12” wide. The main scene measures 10” high x 12” wide. The smaller scene on the folded area measures 13” x 6” and is repeated on the back side. There are some minor age spots on one of these scenes, other wise obi is in very good condition...
This hand painted Japanese ceramic bowl is an early or mid-20th century product. It is 7 1/8” in diameter and 3” high. It depicts white cherry blossoms and red maple leaves on a milk white crackled background inside and outside. There is a small finger pinch close to the rim. The stamped maker’s mark “Takamine” is near the bottom. It is in great condition.

A set of two incense items carved from blocks of dried lacquer, the surfaces polished to reveal the various layers and colors of lacquer used in a mottled pattern. Truly quite spectacular despite their diminutive size, the koro is 10 x 6 x 7.5 cm (4 x 2-1/4 x 3 inches), the kogo is 4 cm (1-1/2 inches) diameter and both are in excellent condition.
Japanese silk kimono made with black chirimen silk, decorated with a resist design of fans, inside is lined with pink and cream color silk, very artistically mended in one subtle place to enhance to kimono (see detail), Taisho Period.
