This ritual plaque is from Himachal Praddesh ( North West India). The local name is 'Mohra'. These plaque are usually bronze casted, but copper “repoussz” can also be found. They are depicting Lord Shiva in his Ardhanaresvara form, i.e half woman and half man. Charming Ceramic Clay Garden Elephant. Elephant is green with blue variations on saddle sitting on Elephant's back. Saddle also has a floral design with cream lining and provides a flat top for ideal placement of garden plant. Chinese vintage belt hook carved in the form of a dragon's head curled to face a crouching chimera with scrolling vines in his jaws. On top of the chimera's back is a bat and coin representing good fortune. The jadeite is very beautiful in color and ranges from a pale, almost white starting at the head of the dragon and gradates to a bright orange color with a steak of bright green in the center.

DESCRIPTION: A Chinese pendant with coral colored stone mounted as a brooch in high relief with a scholar standing under a twisting pine in a mountain setting. The rectangular gilt frame is cast as four bamboo stalks and has a sturdy open “mesh” backing fitted with a stick pin and gold loop so that it can be worn as a brooch or necklace. Very fine work overall with no tarnish anywhere to the gilt frame. DIMENSIONS: 2 3/8” long (6 cm) x 1 7/8” wide (4.8 cm).
