5 Japanese Bizen Pottery shoe shape Chopstick and Spoon Rest, marked impressed Bizen mark, 2 1/2" high x 1" wide, with low relief Crab design on top of the shoes, top glazed with slight touch of gold. The condition is good, no damages.

Fine lot of two silver items, incl. a broad bracelet and a large silver Concho plaque with central torquise, Indian, Navaho. c. mid. 20th. century.
Attractive pieces, the Concho with sterling silver stamps, both are in fine 925 sterling silver.

Condition Note: Insect damage to side of paddle. The wrinkled cap of the shiitake mushroom symbolizes old age and long life. It was used as a symbol of such on celebratory occasions.

Chinese clock made of brass with cloisonne, six cloisonne columns, on the front behind glass is the clock face and a small oval shaped painting of a country scene with a lake and mountains with trees in the foreground, on either side of the clock are painted grecian style figures, a small oval plaque on the back is stamped with "Made in People's Republic of China", size 12" high.

An Algonquin lidded sewing or yarn basket circa 1930s. This lovely Native American 10" tall and 6-1/2" across utility sewing basket has large hoop handles and the lid has a coiled wood yarn guide opening on the lid. It retains traces of the original natural dyes on the exterior while the interior of the body and lid show the bright red, orange and green of the original colours...
A masterpiece by one of Japan's preeminent artists, Seiko Sawada b.1894-1988. This signed piece was executed out of keyaki wood in his younger days in the 1930's depicts Ebisu, one of the seven lucky gods, riding a fish and a wave spouting out of the fish's mouth. Daikoku, the god of abundance, is riding his treasure bag holding his hammer of magic.
The Sawada Museum is in Atami, Shizuoka. Sawada was awarded the Order of Merit in the 1970's.
Japanese Earthenware Studio Vase, with dripping oily glaze, maybe Seto ware, 9 3/4" high, 4 1/2" diameter-top rim, 4 1/4" diameter-bottom rim, oily drippy glaze applied just over half way down, rest of glaze is chestnut brown color.
