A Chinese puddingstone snuffbottle, possibly for the Tibetan market. The mottled red to white stone with all-over striations with a silver stopper with coral cap.

Red puddingstone is supposed to be the rarest colour.

Beautiful vintage Japanese sodenashi (work vest) made with indigo sakiori (rag weave) cotton, woven with multicolor areas to create a lovely patchwork effect, edged in solid indigo cotton, reinforced along the back, sides, and back of the neck in sashiko stitching. These vests were traditionally worn by workers in mountainous regions.

An antique green glazed porcelain bottle vase with the glaze stopping just below the top rim revealing an all over ge-type crackle with dark grey (iron wire) and gold (golden thread) crackle. The base rim unglazed with the base revealing the same ge-type crackle. Unmarked.

Japanese 4-panel byobu folding screen, with a shochikubai or "Three Friends of Winter" motif (plum, pine, and bamboo), the image of a pheasant seated upon a jagged rock formation, with a small singing bird on the twisting trunk of the plum tree. The image was taken directly from a commemorative stamp which is affixed to the corner of the frame.
