Rare sterling silver ice tongs in Kirk’s popular “Old Maryland Plain” pattern. This pattern, designed in 1850, is one of the oldest patterns in Baltimore silver. Because it is so simple, it can appear both Colonial or contemporary, and works well with nearly any silver pattern. The tongs are marked with later 20th century Kirk hallmarks.

Antique Japanese Oil Spot or Mirror Black Glaze Tea Bowl, beautiful green black tortoise shell glazed tea bowl with painted decoration. The interior bottom has the spotted effects like oil spot and the painted design appears to be Japanese. The foot rim has a very small chip seen in the images. Size d 4.2"h 2.2"

Sung Dynasty Molded Grey Celadon Glazed jar with handles, large jar for the type at w 4.5" by 3.5" tall with a band of floral vines above the shoulder and a lotus around the foot. There is a old chip to the rim edge as seen in the images.

WOODEN WINDOW FRAMES OF YANGBAN'S HOUSE

Early 20th century, Korea. approx. 51 x 33 x 3.5cm each (20.07 x 12.99 x 1.37in). Such refined craftsmanship of characteristic unilateral rounded lattice facing outward tells this pieces were actually installed in the residence of Yangban (ref. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yangban) at that time. A small oil on Masonite painting of giraffes silhouetted by an African sunset, 10" by 8", unframed, signed at lower right "B.C. Syrett 1968". I do not see information on the artist, who was obviously talented. The painting could use a cleaning to remove soiled varnish, light scuffs and some stray black surface marks in the sky.

21114689 A small Lobmyer tazza or card receiver that stands 2 inches tall with a 4 5/8 inch diameter bowl. The dominant pattern decorating the bowl and foot are fleur de lys. In the center of the bowl is the J & L lobmyer mark. Beautiful condition.

Ca 1940 This boudoir set features a beveled glass hand mirror, comb and brush. All teeth are present on the comb. Quite heavy, it is unmarked and shows very light wear.
