Important and rare mask carved in wood fungus, of the tinder fungus type (fomes fomentarius), of rounded triangular form, with perforated oval eyes, incised mouth and nose in relief, probably added. A Chinese porcelain famille rose plaque with a painting of roosters. The plaque is signed and in a black lacquered wood frame. In excellent condition the plaque including frame measures 20.25 inches high x 13.75" wide, plaque sight size 14.5" high by 9.5 inches wide. Dates early 1980's

Japanese Dragon decorated Lacquer and crushed Egg shell inlaid Document Box, 2 7/8" high, 11 3/4" wide 4" deep, with copper color metal hinges, lock box with key hole in front. Some lacquer losses are all around, eggshell decorated dragon is looking upward towards Mt. Fuji. The condition is fair, shows some lacquer losses.

Pompoms adorn the edges of this densely embroidered textile made by the Kakarh tribe of Afghanistan. Metallic couching combined with Holbein, herringone and satin stitching characterize this piece. The reverse side is lined in plainweave striped cotton. The Kakarh have descendants in western provinces of Pakistan but are mostly found in Afghanistan and eastern Iran. This textile is in perfect condition and measures 20 x 31 1/2 inches (50.8 x 80 cm). Estimated age: mid 20th century.

A pair of Chinese Pekinese dogs made of porcelain and glazed in the sancai palette. Condition: few tiny rim frits, one dog on the back with few small firing defects (please see photo No. 8). Dimension: c. 14 cm long x 9.5 cm high, weight: c. 480 and 580 g.

Asian art is not my specialty, but I believe I know enough to call this a Tibetan "thangka". Thangka's (or, tangka's, as it is also spelled), are of Nepalese origin, subsequently exported over the Himalayas to Tibet. They are works of art made to be a pictorial record of a contemplative experience or interpretation of an historical event, such as the life of Buddha...

This great vintage wall hanging can be hung anywhere. It reads "Shalom" in its colorful, stained glass, abstract design. It has 5 hooks to hold keys, caps, etc. It looks beautiful just hanging from anything. It measures 8" x 2" x 3/8" and hangs 6 1/2" from its chain. It is bronze and made in Israel in the early to late 1960s to early 70's by The Terra Sancta Guild. In English, "Shalom" means "hello, welcome, good-bye, peace," etc. It weighs about 5 ounces and is in excellent condition.

A interesting Art Deco chrome wine bottle caddy in the form of a sled. The runners ensure that the caddy can be pushed easily across a table surface. The sides of the sleigh are decorated in a hammered and pierced pattern. This caddy can be used any time of year, but would be particularly nice on the Holiday table!

Brilliant Cut Glass Box w/Etched Floral Top - This is a lovely cut glass hinged box with a floral design etched into the top. The sides have sort of a thumbprint pattern going around it. It is in perfect condition, and measures 3" tall x 5" wide.

Chinese Bamboo Wall Hanger, 3 1/4" high 15" wide with slightly curved, with five(5) separate hooks pegged into the main bamboo piece. Black cloth rope wrapped around the both end, that is part of decoration. The condition is good, ready to hang with brass eye screws on the top.
