This is a really nice depression glass green Block Optic 7 1/4 inch diameter deep Salad Bowl made by Hocking Glass from 1929 to 1933. This Bowl measures 2 3/4 inches high and is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. This Bowl can be hard to find. Measuring 18.5 x 28 cm when opened and 18.5 x 19.5 cm when closed, this pair of purses are from Katawaz in Paktika province, Afghanistan. The embroidery technique is an intricate ladder stitch depicting whirling solar motifs combined with button hole stitches around the mirrors ("shisha"). The purses also feature beaded discs ("gul-i-peron") intended to ward off the evil eye - the same function performed by the mirrors. Silk thread on a green silk background. Condition excellent...

A witty sterling silver vermouth dispenser in the form of a watering can by Cartier. When tipped, the dispenser lightly sprinkles just a drip of vermouth into the glass for the perfect martini. The bottom is marked "Sterling" and is signed "Cartier".

This really pretty pink Mayfair Open Rose Depression Glass Cup and Saucer with Cup Ring was made by Hocking Glass from 1931 to 1937. This Saucer can be hard to find. This Miao Baby carrier is from the Bai Ling region of China. As is typical of this region, the straps are embroidered. This attractive piece was probably only used for a few festivals before being stored away for the next generations use. In excellant condition, it measures 38" long.

Abstract print by well-known Japanese print artist Masao Ohba (born 1928). He won first prize in 1998 at the 17th Biennale of Contemporary Ex Libris in Malbork, Poland. His work is colorful with interesting textures. Large stylized murano glass figure of a kneeling Asian, rendered in two shades of smoky gray glass with amethyst undertones. The figure is made of simple forms, but the attention to detail is evident in the face and head of the figure. African Ebony Cane carved with a bust of a warrior. It also has an unusual fluted shaft. Far above average for this type of cane which is from the early 20th century. Size; Overall length of cane is 36 inches, no condition concern.
