This carved amethyst double snuff bottle is a mid 20th century product. It is 3” high, 2 ¼” wide and 1” thick. One of the snuff bottles is a leaping carp. The other is a vase surround by lotus leaves and lotus blossoms. The top is a pair of intertwined birds. Ocean waves support both bottles. The two spoons are later replacements. The flaked composition of the crystal has left a small chip on the rim of the vase. Aside from this small imperfection, it is in great condition.
A woman's dress bodice from Afghanistan, hand-embroidered by the Kakarh tribe. The Kakarh are primarily found in Baluchistan, where they still make up the majority of indigenous Pashtuns, but they also reside in the southern districts of Zabul province in Afghanistan as well as eastern Iran. This piece measures 18 x 56 inches (45.7 x 142.2 cm). Black, yellow and red pompoms accentuate the front of the bodice which is embroidered in satin and herringbone stitch...

When this happens, I typically buy it immediately without hesitation, trusting that I will be able to place it to a specific period or kiln given enough time and research...
A Durand glass, blue iridescent vase, made around 1925 by Vineland Glassworks - the iridescence is similar to Steuben's, 'Aurene' and Tiffany's, 'Favrile'. The vase is 8 inches tall and 4 1/4 inches wide. Polished pontil. It is in fine condition (there is a spurious, 'LCT' at the bottom). Like many Durand glass objects, the vase is unsigned - it is guaranteed to be by Durand in their Shape Number 1730 (please refer to page 160 of Meschi's book for this vase-shape).
Daum's well-known vintage Pate de Verre glass plaque, 'La Danse'. The figurine is 10 1/2 inches (27 cm) long, 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) wide. It is in fine condition (there are some fine craquellaire, typical of Pate de Verre glass items - see picture).
Offered is this pair of exceptional, cameo-etched Bohemian glass floor vases - the vases are monumental-sized (each vases is approximately 20 inches or 51 cm tall and 8 inches or 20 cm wide). The ruby-flashed vases are in excellent condition (there are a few fabrication flaws in the form of bubbles, typical of hand-made glass articles (see last picture). Unsigned - probably made by Moser.

Two very playful Southeast Asian panthers skillfully carved from red palm wood. They can be displayed on any one of 3 sides and look as thought they were designed to be viewed in whatever position you place them. The wood is heavy and dense feeling very much like a hardwood and weighs about 3 lbs. In excellent vintage condition, they measure 9.5 inches long by 5 inches high. Dates early 20th century.
