An English hand painted Gaudy Welsh tea set by Allerton's, consisting of the 6" high teapot (including finial), the 5" tall large covered sugar bowl, the 4-3/4" tall milk or cream jug, four 2-1/2" tall cups and four 5-7/8" fitted saucers. Including the lids there are 13 pieces and each is handpainted with cobalt, orange, green and copper lustre. the shape and decoration are undoubtedly those of Allertons however the saucers are marked with what appear to be impressed date stamps (from 1928-29)...

A Royal Doulton Pixies D3690 series ware baby or child's bowl circa 1920s. This seldom seen 7-1/2" across ceramic seriesware design shows three green and yellow garbed pixies holding Chinese lanterns. It has the black Royal Doulton England mark with the D 3690 hand painted number. A Chinese antique pear shaped snuff bottle done in glass overlay with four colours on an opaque white ground. The bottle of compressed ovoid form raising from an oval foot to a tall cylindrical neck. One carved side shows a bird perched on a tall branch holding fruit. On this side the maker has also affixed his mark, from Yangzhou School. On the reverse it shows a bird with overhead butterflies and insects hovering over lily pods in the water...

Small blue Japanese cloisonne vase with traveling scene. The body of the vase is cool blue with a dark blue mountain behind a building surrounded by trees. Three travelers approach as they pass a cliff with a cypress tree. Showa period, 1920-1930. It measures 2" at the base5.25" tall,1.5" wide mouth.

A Carved silhouette agate snuff bottle, the slightly flattened globular body carved to the front face using the dark brown layer with a scholar among trees, flowers and rockery. The reverse left bare. Complete with original matching agate stopper. Recessed base.

This beautiful vase was produced by the Consolidated Glass Company as part of the Martele line. Designed by Reuben Haley, the pattern is called Katydid and was produced in the late 1920's. The vase is 7 inches high and the color is a dark sepia brown ceramic wash over crystal. Excellent condition, see my other listings for more Consolidated Glass.

Japanese early 20th century Sumidagawa large pitcher. The pitcher is done with 3 monkeys done in high relief. The chop mark of the artist in on the back Inouye Ryosai. The vase measures 12 3/16" tall and 6 1/4" wide and about 4 5/8" in diameter.
