An unusual mid-Century Taxco version of the classis sterling silver thimble jigger. Like most Mexican silver of the era, this piece has tremendous weight and a simple charm. The rim is engraved “Just A Thimbleful 1-1/4”. The bottom bears the hallmark of A. Dominguez and the Eagle stamp used in the late 1950s.

This prewar satsuma reclining cat is 9 inches long, 5 ½ inches wide and 4 inches tall. It is in good condition. Some color has rubbed off.

A stunning silver glazed Tokkuri by artist Kozuru Gen (b. 1938) in the original signed kiri wood box. The vase is completely covered in silver or platinum glaze with sansai like yellow and green in spontaneous crystalline dabs set in extra drippings of thick silver about the circumference. Countering this strength of character is faded orange, adding a subtle suggestion inside the mouth of the bulbous Tokkuri form. The vase, which dates circa 1980, is 7 inches (18 cm) tall...

A large sculptural vase by Eiraku Zengoro XVI (Sokuzen, 1917-1998) enclosed in the original signed wooden box dating from the 1950s, an era when Japan was redefining its own views on art. This is an excellent example of work from that time. Born into traditional tea ware, Zengoro XVI was with the rest of his compatriots, experimenting with new ideas and new forms, unafraid of a dawning new era. He was also an educator and an active member of the Kukjeon, and served for a time as President of the Korean Painters Association. Beautiful tea set made by Coalport for Tiffany & Co., New York. The design is a white background heavily decorated in raised gold. It consists of an teapot, sugar, creamer, and 6 cups and saucers. One of the cups has a fairly large crack, and another has a very small crack. Those are the only damage to the set...

Vintage sterling silver figural jigger in the form of a thimble. The rim is engraved "Just a thimblefull." Thimble jiggers became popular in the Victorian era and remained so through the mid-20th century. The base is hallmarked by Towle.

Chinese ring with green jadeite oval shaped cabochon, mounted on a 14K good ring (with gold mark), the jadeite is encircled in a ring of leaves and raised up with an open back to maximize the light shining through stone. Size: 1.7cm x 1cm

Large folk art hooked cotton rug of a maroon horse outlined in black and with black hooves and tail trotting to the left against a tan ground with maroon corners and blue bands to enclose the horse. Some of the ground hooked in squares of different shades. Dots of brown for nose, eye and in the tail. 22 by 35 inches.

Condition: some wear and small losses around edges, stain at the edge above the horses head and below raised hoof...

Roseville Futura jardinaire measuring 10" x 14 3/4" wide, this grey outside with pink leaves is in perfect condition. The inside has some water stains as it was used for plants, but it is otherwise perfect original condition.

A finely carved Chinese agate in the form of a popular motif often seen in Tibet which is the windhorse. The use of Tibetan motifs in Chinese arts began during the Ming dynasty with patronage of the Tibetan high lamas and continued onwards into the Qing Dynasty. The windhorse is carrying a pecha or sutra text, a signature motif often found on windhorses. The stylized ribbons and the waves are done in the Chinese style. This classic Steuben ashtray makes a great olive dish. Designed by George Thompson and first manufactured in 1939, Art Deco style having round clear crystal bowl with handles, signed in script on the underside; good to excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs, minor wear. A classic figural sterling silver thimble jigger by Thomae & Co. The rim is engraved "Only A Thimble Full." The interior retains its original gilding. Several companies made variations of this jigger, but those by Thomae are among the best due to their superior weight and workmanship.

Exquisite cup & saucer with a handpainted scene of a lady relaxing in a pastoral setting being serenaded by a cherub playing a mandolin. It is marked Cauldon Ltd. England, and signed Wagner. It is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The gold is also in perfect condition, with no wear at all. This set has the gold band on the bottom, which I believe signifies that it was a special order.

This is a handsome pair of Indian hand-carved ivory spice holders. Each unscrews into three sections. The removable perforated tops have elephant finials and the largest section is heavily carved with a scene of a lion pursuing a fawn. Measurement: Height: 4 1/2 inches. Condition: very good.

Rare Royal Winton Chintz pitcher & bowl set in excellent condition; can't find exact pattern in book, but its right and early. Basic flowers are pink roses with yellow roses and small blue flowers and green leaves with black dots in background and black lines between panels. Pitcher stands 12 1/2" tall x 11" wide. It has four cream color panels and two chintz panels. The bowl measures 17" across and is 5 3/8" deep. It has five plain panels, and five chintz panels...

This 1980 Japanese carved wood and walrus fisherman is 5 ¾” high, 2” wide and 2 ¼” thick. It depicts a smiling fisherman; one handing is holding a fish, another hand is holding a net. He carries a basket full of fish on his back. The fisherman’s body was carved from walrus; his robe and pants were carved from hard wood. The carver’s signature was placed on a piece of a red rectangular carnelian inlayed into the round wood base...
