An earthenware terracotta bottle vase and stopper. The vase is decorated with transfer printed "famille rose" enamels depicting flowers birds and marine life. This item was made by Watcombe pottery, Torquay, which was operational from 1869 to 1883. The base carries the impressed date mark for October 1878. Condition - very good - there is a small chip to the footrim (please view enlargements) and a tiny chip to the underside of the cover; there are also minor losses to the enamels. 31cm (12 inches) high.

A very finely potted and finely painted blue and white vase depicting three five-clawed dragons, amongst cloud scrolls, in pursuit of flaming pearls and above stylized breaking waves. The base carries the six character seal mark of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795) but, after three years deliberation, we have come to the conclusion that this item was probably made later, circa 1880-1920, during the late Qing or early Republic periods. Provenance - purchased by ourselves in January 2009 as part of the estate of a family with banking connections who were in Shanghai in the 1920s and 1930s. Condition - the base is drilled through the reign mark - otherwise excellent condition with no further damage and no restoration. Please note: when we acquired this vase it was enclosed within a 1920s or 1930s electric light fitting which was removed by ourselves with great difficulty (please view enlargements). 33.5cm (13.25 inches) high. Weight - 1.125kg (2lb 7.75oz).

精致的乾隆款青花云龙纹观音瓶 或应稍晚
一件精致的乾隆款青花云龙纹观音瓶。底有“大清乾隆年制”六字篆书款，但估为后世1880-1920年间清末民初时期所做。
来源：2009年1月，我们从一个英国家族手中购得一些旧藏，此为其中一件。此家族上世纪二三十年代曾在上海从事银行业。
品相：底部款识部分有钻孔，除此之外品相完好，无损伤，无修复。

A bowl, made in imitation of late Qing Imperial style, with two roundels - one depicting a five clawed Dragon and the other a Phoenix - both separated by two iron red bats and above stylized breaking waves. The base carries what is probably the factory mark which, in Pinyin, reads "Jiu Jiang Hui Kang Chu Pin". This item was made in China in the 1940s during the late Republic period. A rare large bronze paper weight in the form of a Qilin, made in China during the late Ming / early Qing "Transitional" period, circa 1620 - 1680. Condition - very good - the tip of one ear is missing - no further losses and no repairs. 13.5cm (5.3ins) long. Weight: 908gms (32oz).

A small underglaze blue decorated stem dish painted inside with three 17th/18th Centuty style cranes and outside with three bats. The stem is decorated with buddhist knots and stylized plantain leaves. To the inside of the base is the four character mark of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722) but this item was probably made later, during the 19th Century. Condition - there are two repairs to the rim, each with an associated short hairline. No further damages or restoration. 2.75inches(7cm) high, 4 inches(10cm) diameter.

一件小型青花高足盘，内外分别饰有仙鹤和蝙蝠。足部绘有蕉叶纹。圈足内部有“康熙年制”四字款，但为19世纪所做。

An intricately carved soapstone wine (or tea) pot with attractive "Chicken Blood" red inclusions. This item was made in China, circa 1870-1900, during the late Qing dynasty. Condition - the spout has been broken and re-glued; there are minor chips to the prunus branch decoration and to the tip of the spout 19cm (7.5 inches) long; 10cm (4 inches) high. Weight - 740gm (23oz).

19世纪 鸡血红斑寿山石雕酒壶/茶壶

A carved sandstone Khmer relief fragment in (Mahayana Buddhist) Angkor Wat style and mounted on a stand. This item was carved in what is now Cambodia, probably during the reign of King Jayavarman VII (1181–1215 AD). . Condition - very good - the edges are damaged but, although weathered, there are very few surface losses. 60cm long. Please note: we regret that, because this item is very heavy and difficult to post, we will be unable to ship internationally.

A carved sandstone Khmer relief fragment in (Mahayana Buddhist) Angkor Wat style depicting a Buddha head under two parasols, flanked by a pair of fans and mounted on stand. This item was carved in what is now Cambodia, probably during the reign of King Jayavarman VII (1181–1215 AD). Condition - there are chips, the edges are damaged (please view enlargements) and there is weathering and associated iron oxidation to the surface. 56cm long; 35cm wide; 18cm deep. Please note: we regret that, because this item is very heavy and difficult to post, we will be unable to ship.

This item was made in China in the late 19th or early 20th Century, circa 1880-1920, during either the late Qing or the early Republic periods. An antique three-strand Coral Necklace or Choker with a 14K Gold clasp, Natural Pearls and finely crafted Gold Beads. This item was made (possibly in China for the European market) in the late Victorian or Edwardian period, circa 1890-1910. Condition: very good, with no losses. Length 39cm; neck size 35.5cm; weight 42.4 grams

A large bottle vase painted in Qianjiang style with eight fishes swimming amongst aquatic plants. On one side is a poem which reads "A fisherman I am not, using brush as fishing rod. Casually sketch a few fishes, then look into the painting on the pot. Winter of Ji Si year (1929). Tie Jian Zi Deng Bishan painted at Zhu Shan Mountain." On the base is the seal mark "Bishan". Deng Bishan was one of a very famous group of artists known as The Eight Friends. We believe that this item was made during the Republic period but we do not think it was painted by the hand of Deng Bishan . Condition - very good - there is an old hairline just above the base (please view enlargement 8); no further damages and no restoration. 40cm high.

一件浅绛彩风格的鱼藻图长颈瓶。一边有诗云：“自知不是烟波客，握笔胡为作钓竿。信手挥成鱼数尾，教君应向画中看。己巳年冬月铁肩子邓碧珊作于珠山。”瓶底有“碧珊”款。邓碧珊为珠山八友之一。我们认为此件虽作于民国，但非出自邓碧珊之手。
品相：很好。底部圈足上有冲缝（见图8），无其他损伤或修复。高40厘米。

A finely engraved clear glass vase depicting Skiers and Reindeer designed by Sven Palmquist, circa 1953, for Orrefors, Sweden. Condition - excellent - no damages. 11.8cm (4.6inches) high.

A Wedgwood stoneware deep blue "Jasperware" milk jug decorated in traditional neo-classical style and made in England between the years 1891 and 1908. Condition - very good - no damages and no repairs. 12cm (4.6 inches) high. Capacity: 1 pint (568 Millilitres).

A large porcelain jar with original cover (and fitted wood stand) painted in Kangxi style in underglaze blue with flowering "prunus" branches. This item was made for export in the late 19th or early 20th Century, probably during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - excellent - no damages and no repairs or restoration. 26.5cm (10.4 inches) high; 35.5cm (14 inches) high with stand.

A well modelled and painted glazed and "biscuit" figure of Budai made in China during the Republic period (1912-1949). On the base is the mark: Man Yi Sheng Zao - "Made by Man Yi Sheng". This item was brought to the UK by a Liverpool seaman during either the 1930s or 1940s. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 18cm (7inches) high; 18cm (7inches) wide.

A late 18th or early 19th Century Famille Rose enamelled jar made in China, probably for export, during the reign of the Jiaqing emperor. For comparison (of enamels) we have pictured two export Lion Joss Stick Holders (usually dated either late Qianlong or Jiaqing, circa 1800) in our last enlargement. Condition - very good - there are no damages and there has been no restoration. 16cm (6.3inches) high. Weight - 900gms (approx 2lb).

A Cloisonne Enamel vase depicting two Manchurian Cranes, made in Japan for export during the Meiji period (1868-1911). Condition - there is an under rim chip and one to the body (please view enlargements 8 & 9); there are very minor losses to the enamel and there are stress cracks. There have been no repairs or restoration. 18cm (7inches) high.
