Two Georgian bucket bowl port or small wine glasses with panel-cut cups and stems, English, c 1800. One a little heavier than the other and with the pontil mark deep into the glass and partly visible, whereas to the other glass the pontil mark is polished flat. Height "4/ 10 cm. Condition: fine.

Four English (Staffordshire) child’s plates for the German market, c 1830. Transfer printed in puce and green with illustrated didactic proverbs / bon mots. A small lidded jar or bowl, Kangxi period, c 1700. Clobbered in iron red, green, black and gilt over the original under-glaze blue decoration, for the European (Dutch?) market. The base with an “Asian” seal mark in iron red. Height, including lid "2¾/ 7 cm. Condition: the lid with some rubbing to the gilt, otherwise fine.

A pair of English Leeds or Staffordshire creamware plates, early 19th century. In the centre a Tudor rose in relief/raised, the well and the pierced outer rim of the same rose shape. Condition: a few glaze bubbles to the rim of both plates. Diameter "8/ 20 cm.

Vase by Danish manufacturer Hjorth, c 1920-30. Grey stoneware, decoration of Art Déco scroll work in “flow” copper red under beautifully crackled glaze. Probably by Hans Hjorth. The Hjorth Terracotta Factory, now part of the Bornholm museum, is still working in the same premises where it was founded in the 19th century, still using the same equipment. Impressed deer mark (Hjorth is Danish for deer). Height "5¼/ 13 cm. Condition: fine

A small teapot and lid, Kangxi period, c 1700. Painted - clobbered - probably in Holland for the European market, in iron red, green, pink, black and gilt over the original under-glaze blue decoration. The base with a pseudo-Chinese seal mark in iron red. Height, including lid "4 1/2/ 11 cm. Condition: repair to the lid (cf. photos), otherwise fine.

A pair of Japanese dishes or plates, Edo, probably 18th century. Over-glaze decoration in iron red, aubergine, black, green and gilt of scholars in a landscape of rocks and banana trees. In the centre Kirin, the mythical animal, in under-glaze blue. The back with auspicious symbols. Diameter "8½/ 21,5 cm (both plates). Condition: both dishes with some wear to the decoration, one with a chip to underside of rim (cf. pictures).

An enamel on copper cup or beaker and a small dish. Both are Italian modernist pieces (1950’s), both enameled in tomato red with black speckles (the back of the dish in gilt and white). Both pieces marked Made in Italy: the cup with a small metal sign in the way of Paolo de Poli,the dish with impressed mark. Height of cup "2/ 5 cm, diameter of dish "3½/ 8,7 cm. Condition: fine.

A small jar, decorated with a garden rock and Peony in Famille rose enamels. China, Qianlong period, mid18th century. Height of the jar without its carved and later wooden cover (cf. last picture) is "3½ / 9 cm. Condition: some wear to the enamels.

An inside painted Chinese glass snuff bottle, early 20th century, to one side a pagoda in a mountainous landscape, to the other cherry blossom and a red jay bird. Jade stopper and bone spoon. Height "3¼/ 8,3 cm. Condition: fine.

The WMF / Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik also made some outstanding art glass in 1926-1936 of which Myra Kristall and Ikora are the foremost series. Myra glass was treated to the surface with silver nitrate and metal salts to create rich and varied iridized effects. This Myra bowl has an irregular rim, designed to give the impression of a flower, maybe a chrysanthemum. Diameter "5 ¾ / 14.5 cm and height / 7 cm. A Masons’ Ironstone charger in the Japan pattern, a variation of the classic Imari decoration (underglaze blue and overglaze red) with an addition of green. Impressed mark: Mason’s Patent Ironstone Chin, early 19th century. Diameter "12/ 30 cm. Condition: glaze bubbles, otherwise fine.

Three small enameled dram glasses / whiskey tumblers. Decoration of a flower band to the exterior, the white background inside painted. Polished bases. Bohemian, early 19th century. Height "2 ¾ / 7 cm. Condition: a flake to the base of one glass (cf. first photo).

Three child’s plates with moulded double daisy borders, transfer printed in black, Victorian, 1840’s. Impressed anchor mark and London, probably made by John Carr in Northumberland for a London retailer (cf. discussions on the internet about potteries using this mark in the early Victorian era). One plate with a lady and a little girl in a trellised garden, the other two plates with scenes from a series called Juvenile Companions. Diameter "8 ¼ / 21 cm. Condition: fine.

Crackle glaze baluster vase with decoration of flowers and scrolls in panels in the Imari palette: underglaze blue, iron red and gilt. The vase is heavy, with thick walls and a wide band around the foot. Japanese, Edo c 1720. Height "7 2/3 / 19.5cm. Condition: the mouth rim ground (the vase might have had a metal fitting) and there is a faintly yellow shade to part of the shoulder (no restoration).

Three faience plates, probably from the Les Islettes factory near Reims in Northern France, one with a rooster / coquerel and two with a flower basket motif. All with combed red border and 19th century. Diameter "9/ 23 cm. Condition: some rim frits, the coquerel plate with some filled-in patches to the red parts (cf. pics).

Lignum vitae seal box with screw thread, complete with lacquer seal and – most unusual – the corresponding agate intaglio ringstone with a family crest. Georgian, c 1810-20, with the seal engraver’s label, H. Lowe of Lambs Conduit, London. Diameter "1¼ / 3.3 cm. Condition: a dent to the border of the lid (the screw thread still works).

Magnificent swirl brooch in the style of William Spratling, with the circular “Mexico Silver” mark used in the 1920s to 40s. In addition: Swedish import mark (three crowns and S) Height "3 ¼ / 8 cm, weight 35 grams. Condition: fine.
