This beautiful 14k (tested) rose gold brooch has a floral and crescent moon motif (the crescent moon is the symbol for intuition and new beginnings), accented by 10 rose cut diamonds in closed-back settings. The diamonds sparkle very nicely. It has 2 makers marks: an oak leaf in an oval, and the letters “JR”, and possibly another that is illegible; no hallmarks. It measures 1-1/2 x 3/4”. Here is a striking ring with a trilliant or triangular cut synthetic alexandrite and 2 full-cut diamond accent stones. The stone is steely blue in daylight, and a pretty purple in incandescent light, with teal blue flashes; it measures 1/4” per side. Size 7-3/4, and it could be re-sized. Here is a Victorian book chain, 17” long, with two spring rings. Men: use it for your pocket watch, in true Victorian style (great for cosplay – especially Steampunk or Dickensian-type events.) Ladies, you can do the same, or hang a locket or charm on it! Each link, which looks like a little book – hence the name - has a pattern stamped or engraved into it. Here is a pretty plique a jour pin in the shape of a stylized moth, German or Austrian in origin. The body has 4 colorless paste stones, and there is an emerald green paste stone in the tail. The plique shades from green to white to peach. 1-1/2” by 3/4”, and stamped “800” on the back. It is in excellent antique condition and circa 1900. Here is a great pair of cuff links by Belais, one of the companies who pioneered the use of white gold. Very collectible. They are double sided, with decorated separating links, and each “end†measures 9/16†x1/2". They are marked “White Gold Front Belais 14kâ€, and “Talon Grip Trade Markâ€. Here is a hard-to-find Billiken stick pin! Billiken was patented in 1908 by Florence Pretz, in Kansas City, MO. She designated him “the god of things as they ought to be” – what a fantastic conceit! Here is a charming young lady or girl, nicely realized in 14k (marked and tested) yellow gold. She is shown in profile against a textured oval background. Her hair curls around at the base of the oval, and her bangs are in slight disarray – we think she’s just sweet! She measures 1/2” x 3/8”, with a total length of 2-1/4” and weighs 1.4 g. Here is a colorful butterfly realized in plique a jour enamel, silver, and paste stones. Measuring 1-5/8” x 7/8”, and weighing in at 5.6 g, it is just lovely! The butterfly wings are in hues of blue, green, and pink, and it has 2 red stones for eyes. It is set with 20 colorless paste stones, 19 of which have darkened over time. The central stone is much brighter, so it may be a replacement. There are some hairline cracks in the plique enamel, as is typical, also some black spots...

Here is a splendid, very feminine necklace which drapes beautifully over the collarbones. It is made from an unusual hue of rose gold – closer to red than I’m used to seeing in antique jewelry. The garlands of gold are highlighted by 5 tiny stars of gold set with seed pearls and hanging from little plaques which are also set with seed pearls. The whole thing measures 15-1/4”, and the drapery section is 6-3/8”. The longest drape falls about 1-1/4”...

Better than wearing your heart on your sleeve is this lovely silver bracelet with seventeen charms. The bracelet is 7 1/4" long and is sterling. It bears a maker's mark for GJ Ltd. The charms are clearly a collection made over time. There are charms made of sterling, 800 silver, and silver plate. There are padlocks, puffy hearts, plain hearts, and flowered hearts...even a heart locket. The bracelet dates from the 1950s.

This beautiful pendant has a very Gothic feel to it. It is centered by an amethyst with good color, which measures 9mm x 7mm, and the whole thing measures 1-7/16” x 11/16”...

Here is a splendid locket depicting some sort of creature: zephyr? Lion? Or some other mythological critter? He has a diamond in his mouth, and his eyes are red stones (too small to ID). Measuring 1-1/8”, weighing 9.5g, and marked 10k, he is set up for 2 photographs with both celluloid and photo rings. This is a very special necklace, combining an Art Nouveau central panel set with a freshwater pearl and a sapphire-blue glass stone, with an Etruscan-style fringe. Unmarked, it really looks like gold, however it tests as rolled gold or gold fill (we didn’t test the fringe for fear of obvious damage). The central panel measures 1-1/4” x 1-1/4” including the dangles. In total, there are 11 graduated dangles or drops, the longest being 3/4” and the shortest 3/8”. The total length is 16”...

This fantastic Edwardian watch chain is complete with swivel clip and T bar (most aren’t), and with terrific detail. It weighs a satisfying 31.7g, and tests as 14kt gold. 13-1/4” in length; the long decorated bar links measure 1-1/8” each. The T bar is 2” long. The milgrained gear-like parts are slightly articulated – very Steampunk. The dangling link is for your fob or charm. We just love the details! Here is a lovely Victorian cameo, set in flourishes of yellow gold and decorated with 4 pearls. The background is a slightly darker pink than the lady. The attention to detail in the carving is very nice, and she is in excellent condition. There is one missing pearl, but it’s unnoticeable. It seems to say “SIG” in script across the back. The bale is signed with “10K” inside what looks like a stylized “C”. It measures 1-13/16” not including the bail, by 1”. We have some chains ...

This pendant is classic Arts & Crafts. Signed “Queensway”, and marked Sterling Silver, it sports beautiful enamel which shades from cobalt blue into a dark green. The dropper is a blister pearl set in silver. It measures 1-3/8” (including the drop, but not the jump ring) x 1-1/8”. The nice old unmarked chain is probably original to the piece. This lovely fellow is rare and wonderful. He is enameled in rich tones of blue, green, coral and yellow, and carries a tiny pearl in his beak. The dimensionality of the jewel is so unusual – the bird is about ½ inch deep! (And 1-1/4” tall x 1-1/4” wide.) It is very unusual to see a bird flying straight out; they are nearly always in profile. Emeralds (birthstone for May) have been thought to bring wisdom and preserve love. These sweet bright green emerald earrings are made from unmarked but tested 14kt rose gold. They are 13/16” long, and the buttercup settings measure 1/2” across. The stones measure 5-1/2mm across. I believe the ear wires used to have hooks to slip into, but those are not present and the stubs have been smoothed over. One of the emeralds is chipped in the back, but both stones face up well.
