An Unusual framed Five Plate series of woodblock prints creating a large image (called a pentaptych). Original piece by one of the most famous Ukiyo-e woodblock artists, Utagawa Kunisada / Toyokuni III (1786-1865), with depiction of a large scene of men paddling boats with geishas and courtesans across a wide body of water to a far-off island. Calligraphy seals and signatures appear consistently throughout the image. Mounted in a large glass frame.

A beautiful framed work of art, Japanese silk embroidery panel of a pair of Japanese Chin puppies playing with a tasseled floral ball. Adorned with a red lacquer Keyaki hardwood frame, along with Keyaki (elm) front panels of a golden honey original finish. Japanese 4-panel byobu folding screen, with a shochikubai or "Three Friends of Winter" motif (plum, pine, and bamboo), the image of a pheasant seated upon a jagged rock formation, with a small singing bird on the twisting trunk of the plum tree. The image was taken directly from a commemorative stamp which is affixed to the corner of the frame.

Chinese scholar root sculpture in the form of a rams head. The rams symbolized filial piety, an important virtue, a primary duty of respect and obedience towards the care of ones parents and elderly family members. Unusual Mounted Chinese solid burl wood scholar's object, naturally formed in striking resemblance to the head of a ram.

The mask is of dark brown russet lacquer finish and the interior is smoothed lacquered red. The high jaw his two protrusion hooks for strapping the cords, underneath the chin is a vent hole. The mask is fitted with yodare kare of three row of false scale lace and blue silk.

A Japanese okimono of a tiger, fully carved out of Keyaki (elm) wood with fantastic detailing. The tiger sits hunched over with fixated eyes, fangs out, and tail wrapped tightly against its body. Signature on bottom reads : Chizan December, Meiji 18th year.

Unusual Thai architectural sculpture known as a chofa. These beast-like ornaments embellish temple and palace rooftops as a symbol of power and protection. Natural patina and remnants of red and gilt lacquer show antiquity. A photo is shown to demonstrate how a chofa would look while still in place on a temple roof. The temple shown is in Chiang Mai, the largest and most culturally rich city in Thailand.

Tibetan gilt bronze Buddhist statue, of a wrathful deity assumed in the tantric Yabyum position with his female consort.
