This 19th century nephrite carving of a fisherman is 3 ¼” high, 2 ¼” wide and 1 ¾” thick. It depicts an old smiling fisherman. His right hand is holding a mulberry branch; his left hand is holding his beard. His straw hat is hanging on his back. He has two fish tied to the ends of the branch and is attempting to put them into a basket at his feet. It is in great condition.

She is seated upon a lotus throne with her legs crossed in the lotus position, her left hand holding a container, with her right hand performing the akash mudra or Buddhist hand gesture, increasing the space element within. Rectangular form with a slightly raised grinding surface bordered by a narrow, raised perimeter with a carved depression for water at the top end. Very good condition with no cracks. This late 19th century Chinese jade (nephrite) carving of a reclining camel and foreign grooms is 2 ¾” high, 4 ¼” long and 2” thick. It depicts a reclining camel turning its head to the three grooms; one is climbing on the camel’s hump while the other two are leaning on its side. It is in great condition.
This is an authentic nephrite jade huang carved, as one would expect, entirely by hand, done in a translucent pale greenish-gray jade with russet inclusions. It measures some 5-1/2" (14cm) end to end and is in excellent condition given its great age. This is not a modern, or later, copy, but is genuinely ancient and is unconditionally guaranteed to be such to the original purchaser.
