Rare Ming Dynasty ewer resp. pouring vessel in the shape of a duck. The piece is not really a Sancai, because Sancai means 3 colours, and this duck is just in a very nice green. A very unusual & original Han well with the "jing" design, symbol for well and two intertwined snakes for the handle. There is some iridescence at the bottom of the base of the green glaze from age. Green glaze was used to make it look like bronze. Size: H. 30.5cm W.16cm.

Since there still are no publications concerning this kind of ware, this extremely decorative and of course genuine Jar is difficult to date.
Most probably this Jar is from the Song Dynasty (Private kiln, Fujian / Guandong ) but it also could be that this Jar is later, from the 14th - 15th century .
Another possibility is, that this rare Jar belongs to Shiwan ware.

This 19th century Chinese molded ceramic statue is 8 ¾ inches high, 7 ¼ inches wide and 3 ½ inches thick. It depicts a sitting young boy holding a frog. There is a square maker’s mark “Yi He” stamped on the bottom. The statue has its original leather and silk box from Spink and Son’s. It is in excellent condition.
