Large 42-drawer Chinese lacquered elm wood apothecary (medicine) chest. The interior of each drawer is separated into three parts. The names of three different Chinese medicinal substances or herbs are written in white calligraphy on each drawer front. Late 19th century. 40 1/2" wide x 17 1/4" deep x 40" high. It is an astonishing vase which does not resemble anything known.The shape is very elegant and the decor simple but powerful. But I have absolutely no idea what it is. It is probably buffed sandstone rather than terracotta. The decoration presents a dragon in slight relief pursuing the sacred pearl. The decoration seems to me molded rather than sculpted. A cream glaze covers the whole, stained with brown iron oxide...

Antique Chinese shallow bowl with a horse jumping through waves. The horse has a green book tied to it's back with a red sash over a pink and green blanket. THe rim of the bowl is painted with clouds. The back of the bowl is painted with green and blue waves. It measures 8.25" wide. Circa 1900.

A Chinese Yixing stoneware incense burner in the form of Budai, laughing as usual, grasping a small pile of cash. The stoneware has been attractively enameled with flowers and a Shou medallion decorates his back. The base has an impressed maker’s mark. 19th century.
The incense burner is in two parts, Budai sits on a large cushion, this base features a pierced disc for the insertion of joss sticks.
Approximately 15.5 cm high. From the exterior the burner is in perfect condition...

This tea pot is inscribed with Chinese characters on one side, and has a bamboo motif incised on the opposite side. The handle and spout are sculpted to represent knotty tree limbs, and the lid is carved with leaves and stems. The maker's seal is impressed on the interior of the lid. It is in good condition and was acquired from my grandmother's antique shop in the mid 1960s.

Chinese Longquan celadon vase in olive fruit shape with a swelling mid-section incised with the cloud motif, it's' foot covered with brown slip and unglazed, measures 24.5 cm Height and 13.5cm diameter, of the Ming dynasty. The vase has a firing flaw on mouth rim and otherwise in good condition.
