The decoration of five fu dogs is painted in clear, rich tones of cobalt blue characteristic of the Kangxi period. The playful creatures are prancing among stylized ribbons, clouds and flames in a design that fills the entire interior base. The upward, slightly flaring sides are decorated and the thin rim is protected by a narrow bronze band that appears to have been applied shortly after the piece was made...

A very rare bronze set of Buddha and two disciples. Thailand, Early Rattanakosin, early 19th century. Dimensions: Buddha 32 cm excl. parasol, 50cm incl. parasol. The disciples 14 cm high. Condition: excellent, expected age wear to the gilding, original parasol and hand mirror.

This 19th century dark red water jar has the same function as water dropper. It is a necessary tool when writing or drawing. It is 2 ½ inches tall and 2 ¾ inches in diameter at its widest. The bottom is unglazed and it is in good condition.

A rare mid 17th Century conical form bowl decorated to the exterior with playful buddhistic lions and peony sprays. From our Chinese Blue and White Collection, a very high quality 19th century ginger jar done in the "1000 Antiques" design against a "cracked ice" ground, either Tongzhi (1862-1874) or Guangxu Period (1875-1908).
