This is a pair of glass bowls with saucers that are of a deep, even amethyst tone with high translucency. The pieces are molded, then turned, having highly polished interiors. The two bowls have well-carved pronounced footrings. The backs of the saucers retain the mold shapes, but with a glossy polish.
Bowls: Height: 2 ¼ in., Diameter: 4 ½ in.
Saucers: Diameter: 5 ¾ in.
Dish decorated with floral and rock on the interior and continous floral scroll on the exterior, glazed base. PERIOD : Early Ming (1400-1487 AD) MEASUREMENTS: 19.5 cm wide. CONDITION: very good, no chips, cracks, hairlines and free from restorations.
This is a beautiful Japanese Porcelain Charger or shallow bowl. It just glows. The work is very similar to the work we have seen done by the Fukagawa or Koransha factory but it is not signed. Condition is excellent. There is a minor factory smear of gold on the front center. It can bee seen in the images. This might why the piece is not signed. It can bee seen in the images. The charger is 12 5/8 inches across and has deep sides making it 2 1/4 inches tall.

This is a pair of ancient Chinese bronze cheek pieces from a horse harness. They are strikingly similar to ones excavated in Fufeng County, Shaanxi Province, and currently on display at the Shaanxi Provincial Zhouyan Museum.
Cheek pieces such as these are generally attributed to the Western Zhou Dynasty (1100-771 BC). The pieces are decorated with simple linear decorations. The circular holes in the center are where the now-missing mouthpiece would have been attached...

This is a small Ming dynasty moulded sancai funerary covered box with ribbed sides. On top of the covered box, it has a moulded design of the plum blossom or meiping plant with flowers. It has a low footrim with a mildly recessed base. It also has a square seal mark which reads as "Da Ming Nian Zhao" from left to right instead of the usual right to left.
As a funerary object, abrasion, minor chips(see picture no.5) and minor production flaws can be expected...

This antique childs toy was brought back from Chinese by an American Missionary during the early 19th century.
