An interesting, rare and unusual, Buddhist Dehua image of a meditating Luohan in a cave overgrown with branches, his hands holding a begging bowl. This is a well-known motif of the Ming dynasty. Done with very fine details demonstrating a high level of craftsmanship. Hollow modeled. Signed with seal on the back: He Chaozong. Late Qing to early Republican Period, ca. 1900–1930. H 16 cm. The nine-dragon design on this charger is after a Xuande prototype, where dishes were painted with a side-facing five-clawed dragon amongst crashing waves in the centre, the cavetto decorated with four dragons hunting the golden ball. Magnificent antique Chinese Wucai procaine large baluster vase, 17th century, transitional period, circa 1650.
The vase is decorated to the body with finely hand-painted four large lobed panels with a band of Ruyi heads, all reserved against a trefoil ground of iron red.

Chinese porcelain box with a cobalt blue underglaze of a twisting dragon on the lid, with squared spiral designs around the lid's edges. The bottom of the box has crashing waves and a large fish sticking its head out from the water. The bottom of the box is marked Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi, "Great Qing Qianlong Period Make". The white spots seen on the box are a reflection of the box's textured surface.
