A fine very early Thai bronze buddha, ca. 15th. century AD, mounted on a later Rattanakosin Kingdom wooden gilt base, 19th. century.
Interesting composition of a Suchothai standing buddha on a 19th. century base. The Buddha very attrative standing erect with a slight smile and hands in the calming of the seas gesture.

Chawan, tea bowl to be used in the tea ceremony, of distorted oval shape (kutsu or clog, or shoe-shape). Thick cream-colored stoneware that turned red during firing in the unglazed area, covered with a translucent greenish ash glaze that collected in the bottom and around the rim and is very thin around the sides. The sides are ‘rough’, giving a look into the clay.

Chinese bronze scroll weight of an elephant-like creature with a foo dog with its head turned toward the larger creature; Ming Period; excellent patina
Finely cast small statue of Krishna depicted, according to tradition, as a mischievous boy, reclining and stealing the butter ball. Krishna is wearing a diadem, at the back of which is a loop suggesting that this statue was originally used as a pendant. Bronze, with with partly encrusted reddish green patina, with traces off ritual material. Nepal, 17th century. Length: 4.9 cm. height: 4.3 cm. Very good condition.
Small cast bronze incense burner. The cast iron is very thick. The object is very heavy. It is treated like Japanese Raku stoneware, leaving a pronounced rustic look. Do not think of an easier job, quite the contrary, the finish with a scraper of the bronze and the polishing are neat. Style very rarely used in ceramics. On the lid a shishi serves as a button. Below an indeciphered mark cast in hollow.
Excellent very old bronze patina. Probably Japanese and surely 18° or before...

Made from a hard creamy-white pottery and coated in green and greenish-yellow glazes that have, in places, acquired a silvery iridescence, a result of very long exposure to moisture. There are also traces of red pigment in places.

A rare Chinese bronze (copper tin alloy) paperweight very finely modelled and cast in the auspicious form of a mythical horned Qilin.
This item was made in China for the scholar's table, in the Transitional Period probably during the reign of the Shunzhi emperor (1644 to 1661).

Porcelain decorated with standing phoenix and floral on the center and four flower sprays on the cavetto, unglazed base. PERIOD : late Ming (1566-1643 AD) MEASUREMENTS: 19 cm wide. CONDITION: very good, no chips, cracks, hairlines and free from restorations. Good sound when tapping with finger tips.
