This is a wonderful tea bowl of Japanese Hagi Ware, which was made about 100 years ago.

The seal of the potter is stamped on the bottom. Some natural glaze cracks, which were intentionally created in the time of the firing process, are very nice. This bowl has an authentic wabi sabi taste.

This extraordinary cha-ire (powdered tea container) displays an excellent glaze that appears to have only grown more intricate and rich with time. Contrasting against a reddish brown background are flows and pools of darker glaze along with lighter textured speckles...

This early 20th century Chinese natural gourd cricket cage is 4 ¼ inches high and 3 inches on the widest part. The rim of the gourd and lid are carved rose wood, the center of the lid is carved ebony. The center part depicts a sage sitting behind rock in a garden; banana trees are behind him. It is in excellent condition.

Omi-e-kasuri (pictorial kasuri) with double kasuri pine and bamboo motif. It is handwoven of taima (hemp) and weft yarn with pine tree pattern is clamp-board dye so that the textile has white bar-code like lines in both selvedges. Both choma (ramie) and taima (hemp) textiles were woven from 12th century in Omi region in Shiga prefecture, but kasuri textiles were woven of taima (hemp). In excellent condition but the white lining has light stains and very light two spots in the upper back...

A Japanese impressive brown patinated bronze incense burner with shades, depicting a Shishi standing in a garden of flowers with its mouth open, holding a sphere (koro) with its paws. Large antique Chinese cabinet in two stacking sections, made of a beautiful honey color hardwood, cabinet doors on front are lacquered black and have stone inlaid scenes of children playing, the sides have lacquer scenes of mountains. The interior of the bottom section has a shelf with two small drawers. Republic Period. Size: 96" (8ft) high x 47" wide x 21 1/2" deep.

Chinese antique long low table made all of hardwood. One side has three drawers carved with swirling clouds and chimera. Republic Period. Size: 16" high x 54" long x 20" deep.

A beautiful Japanese lacquer jubako, or tiered storage box, with nishiji background made from sprinkled gold flakes. Each side is decorated by maki-e lacquer imagery of shochikubai, meaning "three friends of winter", bamboo, plum, and pine with gold and silver leaves and flowers. The interior of each level is coated in bright red lacquer. The jubako comes with its own tomobako, or storage box, as well as a second lid. Size: 17" height, 9" width
