An antique pair of Chinese Corbels carved as a male and female Fu Dog. Both are protecting spheres which represent. the world with the female watching over its young. Both have open mouths with their tongues out which represents them expelling evil. Hand carved from Elm.

It was probably part of a sliding door, later remounted as a scroll with a very beautiful, high quality brocade...

Two Famille noire biscuit sweetmeat dishes, Kangxi (1662-1722) of "arrow" formed, painted in the middle on a black ground a bird. The skirting band on the rim painted in green and black. The sides with aubergine glazed symbols. The yellow and green enamels has a "oil" surface and the black has a overlying green glaze. Condition: One in perfect condition. From our Shipwreck Porcelain Collection, a fine and large blue and white Ca Mau Shipwreck dish ex-Sotheby's, Yongzheng Period 1723-1735, datable more specifically to circa 1725. The scene depicts Europeans (most likely Dutch traders) on what was once mistakenly thought to be Deshima Island in Nagasaki Harbor Japan, but which recent scholarship now concludes is either a scene of Holland in the Netherlands, or Gothenborg in Sweden...

Agata cup of a beautiful yellow and amber color. Decorated in hight relief of Chilong, Lingzhi and Fenghuang (dragon, mushrooms and Phoenix) with highly symbolic value, in fact the male principle chilong and the female fenghuang should signify a marriage, the presence of immortal Lingzhi making the union eternal. The artist used a part of the stone which is different, naturally spotted and cracked to cut the Chilong which is thus subtly spotted like a leopard...

A fine 18th Century Kano school painting depicted peony flowers. Behind the scene is a stream. It is painted with pigments of green (rokusho), which has been richly used. The combination of red and white flower symbolizes good fortune. This subject was painted in life size and a very good example of Kano school peony painting.
