This hand made 19th century Chinese sterling silver inkwell is 2 ½ inches long, 2 inches wide and 1 5/8 inches high. It depicts a cormorant sitting on a fishing basket. It has “sterling silver” (in Chinese) stamped on the bottom and a glass container inside. It has nice patina and is in excellent condition.

A very rare pear-shaped vase - Yuhuchunping - finely painted with black enamel on "biscuit" (un-glazed) porcelain depicting two five clawed dragons above waves, and amongst clouds and flames, in pursuit of pearls. This item was probably made during the reign of the Daoguang emperor (1821-1850) and is possibly a reject from the imperial kilns. A twin-handled bronze censer. The base carries the six character reign mark of the Xuande emperor (1426-1435) but this item was made later, possibly during the reign of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722). This censer is from the collection of a British architect who was born in China and lived in Shanghai. It came to the UK with him in 1931...

A Ming dynasty 16 - 17th century Chinese bronze figure of large seated Bodhisattva, good condition please see picture for detail, very heavy in about 6500 gram with 32 cm height and 24 cm wide.

This 19th century red (almost ox-blood) glazed brush washer has fine crackles covering the entire body and a splash of green sheen in the middle. It is 4 ¼ inches in diameter and 1 ¼ inches high. There are a few small chips on the bottom. Good condition.

A large very decorative porcelain jar resp. flower-pot, decorated with a moulded decoration of 2 dragons and glazed with a very nice blue-green Celadon glaze. It seems that this jar was produced as a flower-pot because there is a hole to the bottom of the jar from the time when the jar was produced and it seems that this hole was closed later, most probably already a long time ago. Seated on a rockwork throne, with an open book in one hand and holding a boy on her lap with the other, between a vase with applied prunus and a bird, above two well modelled acolytes, the Jade Maiden, Longnu and the Golden Youth, Shoukai. Kangxi C1690/1700. Ht.8.0" (20.2cm). Condition: excellent, a 0.6cm glaze crack in the firing fault on her back.

This late 19th century Chinese bamboo brush holder (Bitong) is 12 inches tall and 5 inches at its widest part. It was carved in high relief and lacquered. The top part of the cylinder presents the story of the seven immortals of the bamboo grove. Four immortals are looking at a scroll picture; two are playing ¡°Go¡± and one is watching them play. The bottom half of the cylinder depicts five elders gathering in a garden surrounded by pine trees...

A large Ming dynasty style square form vase (Fang Hu), with abstracted 'dragon' handles. The vase is decorated in under glaze cobalt blue with "heaped and piled" effect. Alternating bands of stylized floral scrolls are interspersed with bands of lappets, plantain leaves and chilong dragons with shou (long life) signs and at the rim with a key fret border.
