Kuro-Raku Chawan by the 11th generation Keinyu Kichizaemon (1817-1902) enclosed in its originally signed and sealed wooden box.

This Raku chawan is particularly endowed with a structural power deriving from simple composition of features of a bowl - another reminiscence of the earlier generations of this unique family of artists.

Interesting early brass figure of the reclining Bull Nandi, Southern India, 18th.- early 19th. century.

A finely made figure, much older than most we've seen on the market.

Size: 9 cm. wide and 7,5 cm. tall.

Condition: Choice Very fine, smooth wear from use and polishing, brownish patina inside.

Ex. Private collection of Ulf Gudmundsen from the 1950s and onwards. An important collection of Tribal African and Asian antiques.

A choice and large Western Asian bronze sword dating to c. 2nd mill. BC. 'Luristan' Turkmenistan / Uzbekistan bronze age.

The sword with round shoulders and a prominent central midrib. The tang has a bend near the tip.

Size is 51 cm.

Condition: A choice sword with some encrustations. Vry slight edge roughness. Nice green bronze patina. Will improve much if cleaned properly.

Ancient 1000 B.C Holy Land Jerusalem Judaea. A First Temple King David Period Terracotta Oil lamp with closed nozzle and raised rounded base.

MEASUREMENTS:

Overall length: 9.5 cm. (3.74 inches).

CONDITION: The lamp is in good condition considering its age of 3000 years. Showing age and usage, with traces of wear with areas of earthen encrustation. No cracks, repairs, restoration. Base inscribed with collection number...

A rare Roman eye bead in black glass and nice blue, a study piece

Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this wonderfully detailed funerary cone from a known tomb in the Theban Necropolis. This is cone number 576 from tomb number TT 295 for the scribe Paroy, also known as Djehutymose. The cone is wonderfully inscribed and detailed with clear glyphs. Djeyhutymose was a scribe under Thuthmosis IV or Amenhotep III during the New Kingdom in Egypt. The cone itself measures 3 1/8" in diameter and 2.5" deep...

This is a 19th century, excellently hand-carved Netsuke depicting a very surprised Rat Catcher, who is standing on one foot, while holding the tale of a rat that is crawling on his back. Another rat is crawling on the floor , near his foot. Outstanding detail and expression, as well as a two-tone patina. Unsigned. Netsuke measures 1.10 inches (2.8cm) wide, and 2.78 inches (7.1cm) tall.

Coral red tea bowl and saucer, the bowl with rocky landscapes in blue, green and black in reserves, the saucer with the same decoration depicted on a paper scroll. The black lines are hand painted like the rest, so probably Chinese, Jiaqing period. The lotus scroll work on the tea bowl with traces of silver, now oxidized. The tea bowl with a kiln mark, and a simplified six character mark to the saucer, probably for Jiaqing. Diameter of cup "3 ½ / 9 cm and of saucer "5 ¾ / 14.5 cm...

A nice collection of 11 GENUINE MING DYNASTY-PERIOD (1368-1644) BLUE + WHITE PORCELAIN SOUP SPOONS. This type of porcelain spoon was used in China as early as the Shang Dynasty, and predated chopsticks. Size: length 4" to 4 1/2". All in good condition overall. Small serving dish of square, mokuzuke, of octagonal shape with two handles standing off the side. Thin light-colored stoneware covered with cream-colored glaze with fine crackle filled in the brown color from the foot to ¾ of the height. On top of the cream-colored glaze some iron-brown decorations of pine needle, plum blossom, cross hatch design and a mon-shaped design and a splash of green glaze with some blue in it. Antique Japanese painting of a Goju-no-to, five storied pagoda of the typical Japanese Buddhist temple. The pagoda is decorated using Kanji with a repeated sutra and other passages. Horin, the nine rings atop the pagoda are each a symbol. It measures 21.25" by 10.13". Some signs of age. Painted in sumi ink on paper. Meiji period 1868-1912.

A Rare small Celadon Double Gourd Water Dropper with cylindrical Body,Song dynasty.Good conditions with no cracks or restoration.7,5cm height.

18th century off-gray Chinese translucent jade plaque with pierced and carved abbreviated design of a dragon in flight, was used to be sawn onto clothes. Nice work, in good condition. Length 2.03 inches, weight 5.2 grams.

This is a nice pair of tomb guardian, one piece in the form of a warrior and the other a mythical beast. The pair of tomb guardian is made of white earthen ware with copper green glaze. The green glazed is also nearer to the celadon glazed type. The clay, glaze and style suggest that the pair of tomb guardian suggest that this pair of tomb guardian straddles between the late Sui dynasty to the early Tang dynasty or about 7 century...
