A lovely and extremely rare, large version of a Wheel-lock pistol in Noble quality, Germany, Augsburg, c. 1570-1580.
With swamped two-stage barrel, struck on the top flat of the octagonal breech with the Augsburg mark (Neue Støckel 1294), and the cock of the fine metal lock is engraved with marine monsters.

Daunian bag-shaped vessel enhanced with a carefully rendered female protome just below the straight rim. The head with large lentoid earrings (?) and a necklace: the hair painted blue, short strokes along the body.

A pair of small bronze foo dogs or foo lions created by the lost-wax casting process, showing traces from the mold. Both have a wonderful warm patina and would make excellent brush rests for a calligrapher's or artist's detail brushes. In excellent condition, they measure about 2" long x 1.5 inches high.

This incredible Rabbit Island Dart arrowhead was found on Sauvie's Island, Oregon by Carroll Howe's sister while hunting with Carroll. I purchased the point from him on 12-13-90. Carroll wrote 4 books on Northwest material. It is made from gorgeous highly translucent orange agate. It has beautiful serrated edges and is flawless. The chipping is the finest. A two section antique Japanese Isho Biraki Tansu (stacked clothes chest with hinged doors) made entirely of Kirinoki (Paulownia) wood. Original bronze hardware and a center Kuwanoki (Mulberry) wood door decorative overlap. Very well constructed with thick wood, straight dovetail joinery and hardened wooden nails. The doors open to four removable kimono trays.
