A Very Fine and Rare Celadon Deep Wine (Tea) Cup: Korea, Koryo period, 12th century, This is a really fine and well formed Koryo celadon wine cup; highly rounded sides rising from the low foot to the slightly in-turned rim, applied with a clear, crackled bluish, green celadon glaze extending over the foot ring, the base unglazed with firing earth traces. It is in mint condition. Measures: 3 ½”diameter and 2 ½” high.

Antique Chinese table, made from huanghuali with a beautiful, glowing grain. Around its sides are carved spirals designs over a large border panel. The front and back panels are carved with the calligraphy symbol for double happiness in between two dragons with clouds of billowing smoke around their bodies and two phoenixes flying on either side. This vase is covered overall in brushed slip (hakeme) with three registers of incised horizontal lines from which issue simple flame-like patterns. The brushed slip decoration extends into the flaring mouth and down to the footring. The foot is completely obscured by adhering fused sand from the firing. There are a couple of unintended copper red dots from the glaze. The condition is very good, having no chips cracks or repairs.
