Up for sale is a pair of Chinese robe's sleeve bands, very intricate embroidery executed in Pekinese stitch, very fine & intricate. Measurements : Approx 7 in x 42 overall, 3-1/8" x 18-1/2" Embroidered area. Good condition, vibrant colors, some stains/color run, some tear in one end of the not embroidered area( See pictures for details).

Up for sale is a very large tapestry made out of a Qing dynasty court official's blue dragon robe, 19th century, executed in Chinese forbidden & satin stitch embroidery, 2 front-facing & 4 profile dragons surrounded by colored clouds, bats, and other Buddhist & Taoist auspicious symbols above the sea waves, rocks, and standing water / Lishui. Panel is backed with light blue silk. Measurement : 64" x 53". Very fine embroidery in excellent condition, no wear or tear.

This is a traditional Qing Dynasty woman's skirt. Chines skirts during this time period were made in 2 sections which were "buttoned" together with "frogs" The skirt was then wrapped around the hips so that the flat sections were displayed at at the front and back....the pleated sections were at draped the sides... This 19th century Chinese molded ceramic statue is 8 ¾ inches high, 7 ¼ inches wide and 3 ½ inches thick. It depicts a sitting young boy holding a frog. There is a square maker’s mark “Yi He” stamped on the bottom. The statue has its original leather and silk box from Spink and Son’s. It is in excellent condition.

The background is black silk and embroidered with very fine silver foil wrapped over silk threads that are tacked into position with gold silk thread, a technique known as couching. This is some of the finest most delicate couching I have seen. This color combination give the silver couching a slightly golden tint but with silver being dominant color.
