A Very Rare Korean Wood Carved/Painted Standing Dongja-18th C.: Korea, Joseon dynasty(1392-1897), 18th century. A small wood elaborate carved Dongja (Buddhist boy attendant) shown standing with his hands held together as if to clasp a ritual object, the robes painted in red, black, green and the face and hands with traces of white pigment, set on an inverted lotus pedestal...

Wonderful 46 cm and 8,16 kg heavy Chinese bronze Guanyin Buddha from our Buddha collection, made in the 18th century.

The Guanyin (Kwan Yin) is wearing a long robe and is sitting with two hands hidden in the clothes, holding a reel. Very smooth and kind expression. Although the statue is hollow inside it is very heavy.

On her back marked the period of "Qian Long". A really very rare bronze collection, can't find from other places...

The U-shaped body with broad flaring mouth supported on three tall splayed legs, cast around the body with a key-fret band and to the underside of the spout with a nine character Mark. Very nice patina. H : 15,8 cm. L : 17,9 cm. Condition: Perfect. Please see a similar example in the collection of the British Museum. Another similar example was sold at Sotheby's. A good baluster shaped vase, decorated in underglaze blue, depicting peony and other flowering plants on a garden terrace. This item was made for export to Europe during the reign of the Qianlong emperor (1736 to 1795). Condition - good - there is a single light 3cm hairline running from the rim - no chips and no restoration...

A very rare tall Dehua, Blanc de Chine, figure of the Madonna and Christ Child, Sancta Maria, such figures are extremely rare and this version with the Buddhist Lion base is probably the rarest and most desirable. Chinese glazed, green porcelain water dropper, in a zoomorphic form resembling a canine, with finely etched "hairs" along its body. It is baring its teeth and has three holes, two in its mouth (one plugged, the other open for the flow of water) and one in its back to be filled with water. This censer is noticeable by its absolutely very well done, perfect shape of the body. By the particularly warm golden colour of the alloy, and by the additional decor ( with some calligraphy ) to the inside of the piece. The surface of the piece nearly appears like gilded. Unforunately why ever the images are not able to show this. Ming Xuande mark to the base of the piece. Diameter : 9,4 cm. H : 6,7 cm. Condition : Perfect

Monochrome dark brown wares from Kawankhalok used to be called "Chaliang" wares. Their lustrous dark brown, nearly black, temmoku glaze is quietly beautiful. The kilns of Central, Northern, & Western Thailand were active predominately in the 14th to 16th Centuries...
