Chinese porcelain planter hand painted by Huang Ming Guang in 1919. This four sided planter has calligraphy on two sides; a bird in flowers and a landscape are on other two sides. Some color has rubbed off and there are small chips on the rim. It is in fairly good condition. H: 4 ¼ inches, W: 4 inches

An exceptionally well decorated and finely potted bowl made to the best Imperial standards. The base carries the six character reign mark of the Chenghua Emperor enclosed within a double circle. This item was made later - during the reign of the Kangxi Emperor - probably in imitation of or as a replacement for a 15th Century Ming original. There are eight chips to the rim. There is a 2.5cm light hairline running from the rim.
