Chinese Green Pottery Ming style garden Column with low relief design of Architectural remnant, from old homes in China, Ca. 19th century, 27 1/2" high, 7 1/2" diameter, with raised low relief design of galloping Horse, big horn Deer, Hawk and long hair Monkey on the tree branches in the deep forest and inside is hollow. The Chinese export wax seal is still intact, and one(1) stained crack about 6" long at just above brown wax seal, and shows brown stain but very tight together.

A well modelled finely cast and carved seated bronze Buddha, with very dark old patination, made in Kandy (central Sri Lanka) during either the 18th or 19th Century. There is a very similarly styled figure currently on display on the ground floor of the Victoria and Albert Museum (London): No. IS.127-1964 (Given by Havelock Pinkey).

Condition: excellent - no damages or losses and no repairs or restoration. Only traces of the original gilding remain...

Rectangular shaped fragment of a Persian miniature painted on an ivory plate representing horsemen hunting deer. The plate is affixed on a green velvet fabric and framed under glass. The frame itself is made of a fine wood and mother-of-pearl marquetry. Height of the miniature: 10,2 cm. Total height of the frame: 16,5 cm. Tiny old restoration on top of the frame, otherwise very good condition. Provenance: Auction sale by Primardeco in Toulouse, october 3rd 2012.

Hohokam carved red basalt effigy big horn sheep ca. 650 ad. No Restoration, In as found condition with excellent ground deposits. The Hohokam seemed to use the red basalt for stone ceremonial effigies and objects but the red basalt was harder and rarer for them to find than the black basalt. This is a fine carved effigy of a big horn sheep which the Hohokam prized due to most likely how hard they were to hunt and kill. I would imagine you were at the top of the hunting game to bag a big horn...

A very beautiful schist head of a Bodhisattva, 2-4 Century AD, with soft, youthful features, wearing a diadem with rosettes. Chinese Bamboo top heavy Hardwood framed low square table, Ca, late 1800's to early 1900's, 16" high, 22" square, with open Bamboo top framed with heavy Hardwood square legs with stretcher under the top. There are burn marks on top of the Bamboo and shows wear and tear with age but very strong and solid piece of table.

This is a rare large chinese porcelain Guanyin statue dating to the Qing Dynasty. The statue is sitting on a lotus base, right hand putting on the front of the chest, left hand holding a bottle. The face expression looks very serious and sincerely. Great item.

Chinese Export Porcelain Cafe Au Lait and Famille Rose overglaze decorated Tea Bowl, Ca. 1790, 2 7/8" diameter, 1 5/8" high, with Famille Rose Peony flowers inside 2 Maple Leaf shape Cartouches and Peaches, between Cafe Au Lait glaze on the outer side of the bowl. Ensemble of very old beads, I found these in a small shop in Phrae, Northeast Thailand a few years ago. The green mottled beads are late Qing Dynasty Peking glass, the brown glass tapered tube bead emulating agate was probably made for the Funan or Chenla Kingdoms as I have agate beads from the same period which are pretty much identical, the white bead with orange splash is at least early Qing...

The entire surface of this box is covered with a Persian floral design executed in pure gold overlaid on steel. The interior is fitted with silk moire sections. The lid is hinged and has a lock but no key. The base is undecorated steel. There is an area on the lid that is rubbed and some of the gold is lost.

Japanese antique okimono carved of boxwood in the form of a lovely lady standing with an octopus. A whimsical scene with the lady holding the "nose" of the octopus who in return is sneaking his tentacle up her kimono. Wonderful attention to detail can be seen in the weaving of the basket behind the two figures as well as in the suction cups of the tentacles and the fashionable Edo Period knot in the woman's long hair. Unsigned. Edo Period. Size: 2 1/2" high x 2" wide.

A late 19th "Yun" lacquered betel box with incised design of animals, elephant,snake,crab etc and dancer. The box is divided into three pieces. The bottom part for betel leaves and the top part for lime, areca nuts, clove and other ingredients. Size: H. 21cm. Diameter. 21cm. Condition: No repairs. Chiku'unsai is known for adding natural found objects as shown of gnarled bamboo handle. He allows us to see the beauty in this state. The wide, flat foot is signed on the bottom "Chiku'unsai"

19th century Chinese rock crystal seal in a shape of a tall and narrow mountain peak characteristic of Southern China. Very beautiful stone with few natural cloudy areas by the bottom, excellent quality carving of 4 sunken characters on the bottom, very fine polish to the surface. Traces of red seal paste in the grooves, imprint of the seal is shown on Enlargement 1. Several tiny nicks to edges as to be expected on an old piece. Very good object for scholar’s table. Height 1 3/4 inches.

This is Kyogen Hakama which the child of the rich civilian of Kyoto used for the Meiji period. This has the crest that Kyogen is characteristic of the part of the waist. As for this, the whole is dyed with an indigo plant by Katazome. This has several places of thin dirts. And this has several places of extremely small holes. As for this, cotton is thin. Kyogen Hakama of the child is very rare. Size 85cm x 56cm (33.4 "x 22")

Unusual early 19th century Japanese cloisonne kogo (covered box for incense during tea ceremony) made in a shape of a clam shell and decorated with various flowers on the background of scrolling vines. Rims are silvered (some wear), white enamel background on the outside, blue enamel on the inside. Very pleasant finish with original pitting, rare and early object in terms of Japanese cloisonné, from the period of transition from Chinese to Japanese style. Great piece in Japanese taste...
