This circular box is well-carved with cranes and clouds in low relief on the lid and covered with an even, sea-green, translucent celadon glaze that highlights the carving. The bottom half of the box is incised with lines radiating from the base and representing the petals of a chrysanthemum flower. The base is glazed and the footring is unglazed exposing the white paste – somewhat soiled with use. The interior of the base and lid is also glazed with an even sea-green celadon tone...

Geyao cup in a very nice Song Dynasty inspired shape. Seventeenth century. The brown clay to the base seems to be the original grey stoneware which turned to a dark brown during the firing process. It seems not just to be a brown slip which covers the unglazed body to the base which would be typical for Qing pieces their intention it is to pretend a Song Dynasty piece. Diameter : 5 cm. H : 3,6 cm. Condition : One restored chip.

This is a southern Song dynasty (1131 - 1276 A.D) yingqing or qingpai covered bowl in a sea green glazed. It stands on a short recessed glazed footrim and then everted into a straight U-shaped bowl with unglazed rim. The inside of the bowl is also glazed with yingqing sea green colour. On the body of the bowl, it is incised with lotus petal shaped overlapping one another. The cover of the bowl is also incised with overlapping lotus petals with a rounded finial on the top...
