Made in Ganga-Jumna (two color bronze) technique in the 17th century. This complicated technique is nowadays lost. Please note the very fine detail on this figure, like bracelets, anklets and rings. A large and richly decorated late Qing famille rose vase, decorated with auspicious peaches (for longevity) and bats (fu, for good fortune) against a celadon glazed ground, along with archaistic chilong handles at the neck...

1800s

This circular box is well-carved with cranes and clouds in low relief on the lid and covered with an even, sea-green, translucent celadon glaze that highlights the carving. The bottom half of the box is incised with lines radiating from the base and representing the petals of a chrysanthemum flower. The base is glazed and the footring is unglazed exposing the white paste – somewhat soiled with use. The interior of the base and lid is also glazed with an even sea-green celadon tone...

Geyao cup in a very nice Song Dynasty inspired shape. Seventeenth century. The brown clay to the base seems to be the original grey stoneware which turned to a dark brown during the firing process. It seems not just to be a brown slip which covers the unglazed body to the base which would be typical for Qing pieces their intention it is to pretend a Song Dynasty piece. Diameter : 5 cm. H : 3,6 cm. Condition : One restored chip.

This is a tall Song dynasty (960 – 1276 A.D) yingqing or qingpai meiping or plum vase. It stands on a recess base, rising from a small base to a baluster shape body with a short shoulder towards a mouth rim with a ring in between. The shoulder is circled with incised double ring. The body is divided into six symmetrical portions by two parallel incised lines starting from the outer ring of the shoulder towards all the way to the footrim...

A Yuan dynasty longquan celadon large dish, rounded side with raised flat rim and glazed base, dish decorated with carved large flower motif at interior and vertical ribbing suggesting flower petal motif at inner wall, dish covered with green glaze, semi porcelain with nice crackled glaze.
Dish is in good condition, no chip, no crack, no restoration, slightly warp.

A very rare early Ming 15th century longquan celadon octagonal shape large dish, octagonal shape with wide spread rim and unglazed base, dish decorated with carving flower motif at interior, dish covered with bluish green glaze.
Dish is in very good condition no chip, no crack, no restoration.
Size: 30 cm diameter.

A Chinese Qingbai Bowl, 10th-12th century. Diameter approximately 17 cm and height approximately 5 cm. There is a small rim chip. In good condition.

An Yixing stoneware teapot bearing a rare seal "Li Bang Shui Ji" - which might be a retailers mark. There is a single hole inside the spout. This item was made in China during the Qing dynasty (1644-1908),possibly during the reign of either the Jiaqing or Daoguang emperors (1796-1850). Condition - good - no damages and no restoration...

A fine Yuan dynasty iron brown spot small jar with octagonal shape. Good conditions,no hairlines,no chipped,and free from any restorations.6cm high.6cm wide.

Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368). Diameter 13 cm. Condition excellent. Origin: Jiangxi Province.

This is a southern Song dynasty (1131 - 1276 A.D) yingqing or qingpai covered bowl in a sea green glazed. It stands on a short recessed glazed footrim and then everted into a straight U-shaped bowl with unglazed rim. The inside of the bowl is also glazed with yingqing sea green colour. On the body of the bowl, it is incised with lotus petal shaped overlapping one another. The cover of the bowl is also incised with overlapping lotus petals with a rounded finial on the top...

Black - brown iron glaze on a stoneware body. South China thirteenth to fourteenth centuries. There are also Thai pieces in a quite similar shape, but please don´t confound this piece with a Thai piece. Diameter : 10,3 cm. H : 5,5 cm. Condition : One nearly invisible hairline to the glaze, further in perfect condition.

 

A good underglaze blue decorated transitional style jar of a type which was produced in Jingdezhen over a long period, from the Wanli through to the end of the Chongzheng reign, for both the export and the internal markets. Condition - there is old restoration to the rim and there is a firing crack (please see enlargements 4 and 6)...

A rare Yuan dynasty iron spotted small jar decorated with under glaze iron brown spotted and covered with good bluish white qingbai glaze. Jar and cover is in good condition no chip, no crack, no restoration. 6cm high.
