This water pot is in the shape of drum which doubles as a paperweight for painting and calligraphy. It is decorated with underglaze cobalt blue and iron oxide in a rather cursive depiction of flowers and butterflies. The side has two sections of calligraphy covered with a thick, translucent glaze, somewhat obscuring the brushwork. The base is not glazed and shows considerable wear and soiling from use...

It is made of genuine golden yellow Baltic amber that is opaque yet glowing and slightly translucent in bright light. It shows signs of old wear and has been repaired with silver/white metal staples and a band of braided wire around the circumference. This is a small Ming dynasty celadon or longquan vertically ribbed jarlet.

The dimension is as follows: The height is 7.4cm and thw width is 7.4cm.

It is in good condition.. A manufacturing crack (picture 6)at the base which show through the inside of the jarlet base as well. No damanage, restoration, repair or chip. Minor abrasion and manufacturing fault.

A very rare Chinese blue and white pouch-shaped porcelain vase, 18th century, probably Qianlong period. The vase is in excellent condition, the only flaw is a short (approximately 3/8" long) kiln crack inside the rim, please see enlargement #5 for detail. Height of the vase: 8". Provenance: purchased from a private collection in the early 1990s.

A Substantial George III Silver Coffee Pot, by Daniel Smith and Robert Sharp, London 1774. Dimension; 11.5" high x 9" spout to handle; weight, 33 Standard, 30.1 Troy ounces. Initials LHP and "Llewellyn S. Parsons" on base (see picture), prior owners. Excellent condition.

Finely cast bronze censer on four linked feet with very elegant flower décor on the body and fretwork on the rim, patinated in a rich brown. Bottom decorated in low relief with repeating, extremely fine fretwork of faces. Seal on bottom: Dai-Nihon Bunsei nen Seimin sei. Japan, Edo period, early 19th century.

Burmese bronze Buddha sitting in Mara Vijaya (calling the earth to witness) posture on a base, with meditative facial expression, emphasized by the half-closed eyes which look downward, with original patina remaining in good condition.

A Qianlong Qing Dynasty Famille Rose vase circa 1750s-80s. This fine and vintage Chinese 7" bottle or bulb shaped vase is in the Famille Rose palette and it features lots of gold clobbering, invariably applied later in Europe. It has the expected frit on the base, and this nice example of Chinese porcelain is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs...

Offering this small unusual 18th century English wine glass with a trumpet bowl on opaque color twist stem with two spiral threads, red and white, over a vertical gauze. In excellent original condition, no chips, no cracks, etc., it measures 4.25 inches high, base and rim 2" diameter. Circa 1760. More photos and information upon request.

Very rare cast bronze sculpture of the Chinese monk Xuanzang with a pile of Buddhist scriptures rolled up and stacked in the pack on his back and a lotus leaf over his head from which dangles an incense burner, as he returns to China from India.
In his hands he was holding a scroll and a fly whisk that are now missing. Figure stands on an irregularly shaped base. Japan, mid Edo period, 18th century.

A fine set of the earliest types of bronze Manillas socalled Slavetrader bracelets, Africa, Nigeria, 16th.-18th. cent. AD.

These were made and used as currency well up in the 19th. century, but our selection are very old! These come with exceptionally fine jade like patinas and were wrongly sold as European bronzeage bracelets.
