French triptych photo frame made of bronze and colorful enamel. Uses the antique method of applying enamel over the brass as opposed to cloisonne where the enamel is embedded in the brass. 19 th. Century. Shows some wear and tear in the enamel can be seen in the pictures.

This is a really nice depression glass green Bowknot 3 3/4 inch diameter low footed sherbet dish made by the Belmont Tumbler Company in the 1920s. This sherbet can be hard to find. An large and exceptional bronze oil lamp with handle in shape of a leaf and pyramid-shaped, pierced lid. Byzantine, 5th - 6th century A.D.
The lamp is finely engraved and well built. A substantial and very elegant bronze lap with beautifully patinated surfaces. Interestingly, an openwork lid was chosen for it in antiquity, perhaps since it became to hot with a closed tight lid, due to the large size and construction.

5218-21: English, Bilston, late 18th century, patch box these memento boxes were popular at the end of the eighteenth century and frequently given as tokens of friendship and love. Usually oval in shape, but also circular and rectangular, there decoration reflected the popular styles of the day. For example, by the 1790s Neoclassical style swags, doves, hearts, and borders were the most commonly used decoration of the day. This box reads "Unity is the bond of society."

This is a Dark brown used in the house of the merchant of Kyoto in the latter half of the Meiji(1868-1911).
As for drawing the same line on the both sides of the noren, an expert technique is required.
With the boldness that people get a lot of looks because it is a signboard, it is an impressive item.
There is no hurt stain really...

A lovely little set of three smaller axes, one likely German or Northern Europe, dark bronze hardstone and finely polished (9,8 cm), a nice green stone Meso-American celt, also neolithic period (6,2 cm), and lastly a pointed butt type, likely ancient Near East or Northern Africa (7,8 cm). Interesting lot that needs more study!
