A lovely Chinese famille rose vase featuring court ladies relaxing in a garden setting, a popular Chinese theme. Colors are still rich and vibrant with calligraphy on the back. Dated circa 1900,without any damage, no chips, hairlines, it measures: 17 inches high.

19th century Japanese tsuishu (cinnabar lacquer) netsuke carved on the front with 3 scholars under a pine tree watching a cock fight, and the back with a boy feeding a chick and a hen by a peony bush, all on carved diaper ground. Metal fitting with swinging loop for hanging, some wear to lacquer, beautiful patina. Diameter 1.84 inches.

Japanese pair of round fish plates. The raised details of the fish is painted in blue glaze. Along the edges, an impressed pattern makes up the fish's dorsal and pectoral fins. On the bottom, the maker's mark is a tiny blue floret.

Very beautiful Sawankhalok Celadon bowl with iridescent glaze. 14/15th Century. Foot and part of inside (middle ring only) unglazed, typical for stacked ware fired in kilns during this period to prevent bowls from sticking to each other. Condition perfect, no hairlines, chips nor repairs whatsoever. 19 cm. diameter, height 5.5 cm. Collector's item!

A beautifully made heavy copper trivet of wonderful form. Pierced top, paw feet, and strong rivet construction. Excellent condition. 11 1/2" by 7 1/2" by 5 1/4".

A Tibetan bronze flaying knife or chopper with a curved steel blade used in rituals by Buddhist Vajrayana priests. The flayer was a symbolic instrument and never used to really chop or flay people. Hence, the blade is dull. The blade has oxidized on both sides and there is some verdigris inside the top of the handle. Measures 6.75 inches x 7" high. Dates 1800's.

This porcelain cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Doulton around 1900. It was a special order for the department store, J.E. Caldwell & Co. of Philadelphia. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. It is made of fine, white bone china. The name of the garden is “Hampton Court”. This is a late Ming dynasty (16th / 17th Century) blue and white bowl. On the outside of the bowl it is painted, all around the bowl, with blue background with three sets of lotus flower and foliage and three white cranes or herons in white colour. On the inside of the bowl, a small lotus flower is shown blooming from the top view.

There is some abrasion, sand grits on the base and inside of the bowl as shown in the pictures and minute unglazed spots (pic 2)...

A tall Georgian ale glass with an elongated ogee bowl raised on a double series opaque twist (DSOT) stem containing a pair of heavy spiral threads outside of a loose lace twist.

The glass stands 8 1/8 inches tall, with a bowl diameter of 2 1/4 inches and a wonderful wide stance foot diameter of 2 7/8 inches. Good color, striations, and tool marks, with a conical foot with a rough snapped pontil. Wonderful condition with no flaws or restoration.

Inside this violin-shaped instrument are the original items - metal scale tray, counterweight and a measuring rod made of a long single piece of wood.
