Description: A rare and lovely Yaozhou russet-glazed incense burner was in simple form. Wide-mouthed and with high-set shoulders when the neck is narrowed and the lip is rolled, the jarlet was applied with persimmon glaze inside and out of the surface. The bottom was flat and was concaved to a round circle. The unglazed base had turned to a buff skin during firing, and in a firm quality which were all the characteristics for a Yaozhou ware. A rare example of b/w large dish, decorated at the exterior with four fishes swimming among lotus pond and water weeds, on the cavetto with chrysanthemum scroll and border to the foliated lip rim with flower heads pattern. Underside with emblems supported by continuously lotus flowers. Ming dynasty late 15th to early 16th century. Condition broken in the center split into two and glue restored. Diameter: 34 cm.

A large celadon bowl, well balance potted to rounded form with everted lip rim, covered overall with a fine olive green tone till foot rim, unglazed area appears a circular firing scars. Condition is good, no any chips and free from restoration excepted crackle glazed to the half area of the bowl, also with one very short firing crack to rim side. An Edo period suit of raw iron with all matching parts, featuring 16 plate helmet with two lame shikoro and large fukigaeshi. Nita A ring of skulls playfully sojourn on the front of this rather unusual deep Edo Karatsu Chawan. On back another pair tumble helplessly over the thick speckled glaze. The base is bare earth, dark and shiny with age and handling. The skulls are not just resist painted on, but are actually incised, the eyes and nostrils set deep into the southern clay. The bowl is 3-1/2 inches (8.5 cm) tall, roughly 4 inches (10.5 cm) diameter and is in excellent condition, enclosed in a wooden box.

This bell is approximately 200 years old and was used on the camels crossing Tibet, NW China into Mongolia. It would be worn on a strap and hang loose below the camels belly between the legs. A light shake and the sound is deep and long. The bell in picture is 13" long and has a leather wrapped handle.
