In pitch-black glaze, the elegant bottle vase was applied with subtle silver oil spots all over the surface which can hardly be shown in my pictures. For authenticating, thin web-like crackles were dispersed in the glaze when incursions were obvious on the mouth rim. In elegant profile, the luster on the surface of the vase was introspective and charming...

A rare and fine Qingpai white glazed ewer of double gourd form with lid and a sea dragon handle and curving spout, the flat base unglazed. Yuan dynasty 14th century, Jindezhen wares. Recently excavated of Yuan dynasty blue & white bowl from central Sulawesi region, decorated at the exterior with chrysanthemum flowers and to the interior center with a flaming pearl. This is a Northern Song - Jin dynasty cizhou sancai dish with incised lotus design, with green and brown colour enamel. It stands on a short foot rim and then everted into a u-shaped body. The centre of the dish is incised with a single lotus flower with a large open leaf below it. Nita A ring of skulls playfully sojourn on the front of this rather unusual deep Edo Karatsu Chawan. On back another pair tumble helplessly over the thick speckled glaze. The base is bare earth, dark and shiny with age and handling. The skulls are not just resist painted on, but are actually incised, the eyes and nostrils set deep into the southern clay. The bowl is 3-1/2 inches (8.5 cm) tall, roughly 4 inches (10.5 cm) diameter and is in excellent condition, enclosed in a wooden box.
