An interesting selection of barbed wire of the Early West dating from 1872 to 1884, the board titled at top "THE WIRE THAT FENCED THE WEST"; samples are identified in handwriting by type. Some of the early barbed wire is quite scarce and rare; collectors know what is and what is not. All in all, excellent memorabilia for the aficionado of the Early West. The piece measures 12" by 12".

Interesting painted bark piece from the Pacific islands, probably Tonga, Fiji Samoa, or other island in Oceania, 18 3/4" by 26 1/2" (21 1/2" by 32" framed). The bark appears to have been laid on a thin board. This 20th century work was likely brought back to the US in the 1960's by a tourist, as decorative ethnographic art.
