A large Chinese soapstone vase carved in deep relief featuring 5 birds feeding on a peony vine. In excellent condition, it measures 7.5" high by 8.5" across.
Japanese Sterling Salt and Pepper Shakers, marked "Sterling" on the bottom, 1960's, 2 1/2" high, 1 3/4" wide-widest shade part, twist and open under the shade, they are in good condition.
Chinese heavy weight wooden grain measuring bucket with black iron mounting with studded nails, 10" high, 7" square-top rim, 12" square-bottom rim, two(2) handles are positioned in different angle to hold the heavy weight grain. There are Chinese Characters written in black calligraphy style on all four(4) sides. Some iron mounting area on the bottom is rusted and left rough wooden surface.

Carving of a Chinese scholar made from dark hardwood with lighter orange highlighted areas, his eyes closed as if in deep meditation. He sits with one leg curled underneath himself, his left arm rested upon a carved stool or small table, with the face of a beast. He holds a scroll in his hand and creates a Buddhist mudra gesture with the same hand.

Important and rare mask carved in wood fungus, of the tinder fungus type (fomes fomentarius), of rounded triangular form, with perforated oval eyes, incised mouth and nose in relief, probably added. Length: 30 cm. Height: 18.7 cm. The mask is nicely mounted on a custom stand. Very good condition.
NOTE: the tinder fungus is a parasite which grows particularly on the birch tree...
Small oval carved jadeite pendant. Impressed carving of bat on raised side, other side is flat. Very smooth and pretty color of white with deep green specks. Two carved out holes, one towards top modeling a gold loop, and another in middle of oval.

Japanese Boy's Day samurai Yoroi and Kabuto (armor,helmet) set. Musha ningyo (Samurai dolls), Yoroi and Kabuto (helmet), swords, banners and carps are a part of the display used for the Boy's Day in Japan.
Culturally, the Japanese emphasize anything to do with children. The Girl's day with hina dolls is in March. The warrior's set like this will inspire boys in their manliness and hopefully bravery, discipline and honor codes come with it.

A very old New Guinea Massim lime spatula, made of intricately carved dark wood. The spatula portion is missing. This is not my specialty; identified by major auction house expert. Chinese well carved celadon stone ruyi scepter; with Chinese characters design in relief, probably from early to mid 20th century. Size; length of scepter is 14 inches with no condition concerns, this item was advertised as jade but it is most likely hardstone.
A heavily glazed early square pottery dish by Kimura Ichiro enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The sandy clay appears to have been twice fired, the first firing unglazed with a simple ash burn later a very thick feldspathick glaze wiped on and re-fired. It is roughly 11 by 11-1/2 x 2-1/2 inches (28 x 29 x 6 cm) and is in good condition, no chips or cracks but some color has soaked into the crackled white glaze...
Stunning modern Kutani ceramic vase, Ca. 1980 from one of the contemporary masters of Kutani ware, Akira Sato. Born ca. 1946, he has won numerous prizes, including the first prize at the Kutani Yaki Craft Exhibition in 1985. Incense box of irregular circular shape. Over a light gray clay thickly applied opaque, lightly crackled glaze with feldspar that leaves bare a few small areas uncovered, which colored orange red during firing. On the cover a few circular black-brown underglaze "brush strokes".
Although bottom and cover clearly match, they do not make an airtight close line, but leave a couple of gaps. Few very short firing cracks.

This glass inside painting snuff bottle is 3 inches high and 1 ¾ inches wide. One side depicts well-known scenery of Huang Shan(Hu Bei Province); the other side depicts four cranes under a pine tree. The artist, Hong Sheng, is from Shantou City, Canton Province. It has an ivory spoon and cap made of serpentine. It came with a lacquered wood box and it is in good condition.
India antique Chapati bronze and copper lidded container . The top is hand worked and there is a Hindu inscription on the lid edge. Size D 9" H 6" to top of handle.

Hanging scroll. Shoki holds Futen’s wind bag which balloons around him and protects him from a very light rain. While Shoki has his hands full trying to control the wind bag, his bulging eyes are rolled in defeat and annoyance towards the right, where a little demon who has a Chinese mortar on his head and holds the pestle in its hand jumps in front of him.

Japanese sosaku hanga woodblock print titled “Shop Girl” by Kiyoshi Saito (1907-1997) dated 1960. Signed in black ink at the lower right. Paper size: 15 1/4" x 10 1/2" (image: 15 1/8" x 10 1/4). Very good overall condition and color. Trimmed margins. A color illustration of this print can be found on page 111, plate 338, of the 2003 catalogue produced by the Kiyoshi Saito Museum of Art, Yanaizu.
Pair Japanese Cedar Wood Miso Merchant's Storage Tubs, or Barrels, Ca. 1940, 14 1/2" high include cover, 14" diameter top rim, heavy twisted Bamboo ropes wrapped around, lacquered chestnut color outside, Kanji writings for date and shop name on bottom for both barrels, inside is unfinished and shows beautiful aged old wood grains.
