Offered is this beautiful 'Ariel' glass bottle-vase designed by Edvin Ohrstrom at Orrefors. The vase is 4 inches (10 cm) tall and 2 1/2 inches (6,3 cm) wide at the bottom. It is in excellent condition and is properly signed.

An elegant sterling silver picture frame with a fluted design featuring a cartouche at the top ready to be engraved. Backed in burgundy velvet, the frame measures 7.25" high x 5" wide. Site size (window opening) is 4.75" X 3.25". In excellent condition, it is marked STERLING in the lower left corner.

A fine Japanese lid rest or futaoki as it is known in the tea ceremony. The lid rest is done in a technique known as karakane or bronze and has been hammered. The tachizuru or motif of standing cranes is often seen in various tea accessories representing the rise of auspiciousness. A Chinese shoushan seal carved in its natural form. On one side it shows a man riding a donkey, with another kneeling gathering items under a large tree. The reverse reveals a home in the distance. The herons' feathers are actually embossed into the woodblock and have many other detailed features, such as the scales and claws of their feet and the gleam in their eyes...

Two bone “knives” from the Golden Triangle. I acquired these in Chiang Mai Thailand about 20 years ago and was told that were used by a “hill tribe”, for ritual ceremonies that involved the symbolic letting of blood to heal the patient. Using bones in spiritual practices is a syncretic tradition in this region as the boundaries between Buddhism and the earlier Animist practices are blurred and seem to work in harmony with one another...

Dancing Nymph is the correct name for this Consolidated pattern - it's sometimes called "Dance of the Nudes" due to listings in depression glass books under that name. Pair of decorative leather bound bookends with brass accents. Silver tone metal mounts of a Griffon accent the brass; gold tone stitching accents the rich brown leather. Bears logo of Mark Cross in gold on the bottom of each piece. The bookends measure 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) tall, 5.5 inches (14 cm) deep and 6.25 inches (15.9 cm) wide. Some scuffs and marks from use, but no rips or tears to the leather, nor dents to the metal. Circa 1960.

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen in the mid 20th century. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/4 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The cup features an entwined branch handle. The set is decorated with brightly colored flowers, realistically hand painted. The flowers on both pieces match. There is gold trim on the rims. This vintage textile is from Bamiyan province, Afghanistan and measures 25.5 x 26 cm. Embroidered in pastel-colored silk thread on a fine white linen, it depicts in satin stitch the triangular shapes that are typical of Hazara embroidery. The continuous supplementary-weft technique makes this textile reversible and either face may be used as the front. Condition: Excellent (e.g., no tears, holes, stains). Estimated age: probably 1950-1960.

A small Chinese porcelain vase delicately painted in fencai / famille rose enamels with a scene depicting two ladies on a river bank washing silk. The base carries an iron red four character Qianlong (1736 - 1795) reign mark but this vase was made later, in the early 20th Century, during the Republic period.
