A rising star in the pottery world, Yamaguchi Makoto was born in Seto, Aichi prefecture in 1978. In 2000 he was apprenticed to Hiroshige Kato (Kasen Toen). In 2004 began exhibiting his wares and has held many solo exhibitions at Department Stores and top galleries throughout Japan.

The feldspar covering this unusual torn and ragged Incense Burner by Hayashi Shotaro enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Manyosai Koro . Miyashita Zenji (1939-2012) was born into the family of potter Miyashita Zenju, and graduated the Kyoto Municipal University of Art. Starting with the most difficult, he worked from Celadon, which relies on shape and extreme control of firing. He is held in the British Museum, Metropolitan New York, and Brooklyn Museum among a host of others.

Spectacular colors affects on this playful form by Yamaguchi Makoto enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Oribe Kaki.
