Very nice poplar Shaker bonnet with a label marking the size as a 5. They were also made in size #6 and size #7. The bonnets were sold by the Shakers in their gift shops but they were not made by the Shakers. This one is in very good condition. It does have a few brown stains at the top of the brim edge, see photo. This is just about as good as you can get for this type of Shaker bonnet.

This Antique Buffalo Hide Carriage Blanket is in excellent condition with just a small area indicating some minor loss; edges beyond the red zigzag border have shredding in a few areas. Antique Kurdish bagface or bagfront, dating from the last quarter of the nineteenth Century, offered in beautiful condition with full pile and all natural dyes. This saddlebag face measures 1'10" by 1'8" (57cms by 52cms). For the collector of Kurdish and other Oriental tribal trappings and rugs.

1830-40 velvet reticule theorem purse In nice condition with some age darkening. It is all hand sewn, lined with fine homespun linen. No rips or tears but there is loss of most of the ribbon trim around the outside edges. It is 8 1/2" top to bottom and 8" across at the widest point.

This Dark blue and white towel is 11 1/2" by 16 1/2" with sides hand hemmed. It has a few light brown stains in two places. This is a great size for a table mat or as a guest towel. The pattern and color are pleasing to the eye. C.1840

Terrific chair mat or small round rug hooked in a pattern of two white cats with large blue eyes and big red bows against a field of blue-grey surrounded by a burgundy and black double border. Hooked on a burlap foundation with wool and cotton. Very good condition, except for some discoloration and wear to the black border. 15" diameter. American, probably New England, 19th century.

A double Irish chain quilt with printed cotton fabrics of red and green chains against a background of black spots on white cotton. The front is turned over to the back to make the edge. The quilting is simple diagonals.

Condition; excellent, never washed.

Fashion perfect for riding in a one horse open sleigh, this is an original Victorian black silk velvet cape, circa 1890's, featuring silk applique detailing along the front bodice creating a border around the entire cape. A frilly double ruffle black silk ribbon ruff collar is inset with handmade black lace. Silk ribbon attached around the collar creates a bow in front of the neck hook and eye closure. Black silk broadcloth lining...

This sweet little brown and red doll quilt is in exellent condition with just a little fraying on one edge...see close up. I like to see signs of age like this because it shows it really old. When fabric has been folded and washed and ironed the folds start breaking down the fabric, sometimes aging is a good thing. The quilt is 6" square and is backed with a double pink calico.

Size and Condition: 11 3/4 feet x 8 3/4 feet. Great pile throughout, strong coloration with only slight oxidation. Remains of original fringe still present, but trimmed...
