A wonderful Victorian ironstone footed fruit compote decorated in an underglaze blue floral pattern. Distinctly Asian in flavor, the pattern depicts prunus blossoms and peonies surrounded by rocky outcroppings, foliage and hovering butterflies. The edges are finished in a diaper border. Either end has a leafy handle, heavily accented with gilding similar in style to that found on Old Paris porcelains. The overall shape and use of gilding suggests an early date. This is a Late Victorian era STERLING BON BON SPOON with Beautiful Floral Patterns on the Handle. The Bowl is Pierced and is engraved: VIRGINIA. This SPOON measures 5 7/8" long; the BOWL measures 2" X 2 5/8" (lightest gilding still remains). In EXCELLENT Condition date this BON BON SPOON ca. 1900

This doll was bought in the mid west and had to have been made by an older child or a mother doing the best she could with what she had. She is firmly straw stuffed. Her face is stitched with heavy thread. Her mouth is stitched with the use of many "xxx"s and it looks great. Her nose is pinched raised with overcasting thread. Her eyes are framed with red stitches and her eyes and eyebrows are brown thread. Her red bonnet is sewn on as are her clothes...

A lovely and unusual Victorian sterling silver jelly knife in Towle’s 1880 “No. 128” pattern. Also known as “No. 28”, this pattern is characterized by a twisted handle, accented with beautiful bright-cut engraving. The serving end is shaped in the form of a leaf and is matte-gilt to highlight the floral engraving. Originally intended to serve savory jellies, the piece could now be used for pastries. The back is hallmarked by Towle and has the pattern number.

An exceptional American gameboard with a red wash and black painted decoration; compartments at each end for the game pieces; construction is pine with breadboarded ends and wrought nails; condition is excellent with all original surface; one small portion of a breadboarded end has been replaced at some point long ago; 30" by 17 3/4"

Boards of this type (non 8 x 8 squares) are often commonly and mistakenly called checkerboards...

Though the hallmarks show it to be of the Victorian era, this memorial band was made in the Regency style of the earlier part of the century. It is hallmarked for Birmingham, 1863. The words IN MEMORY OF are carved to the outside of the band along with raised religious and mourning imagery including Maltese crosses and fallen leaves. The gold-work is heavily chased. This ring was probably made as an advance order but never inscribed...

A Gorham Sterling Silver Large Vegetable or Pudding Serving Spoon. Size; length 9" and weight 3.5 ounces. Marie Antoinette pattern. circa 1890.

Delicate silver mesh purse with a solid clasp handle. Exquisite floral design around the top of the purse. The front body of the mesh purse is also decorated with fringes. Made of 800 silver. The silver seal is located at the clasp.

A very nice antique Punch as is Punch and Judy a famous puppet show in England. He has a leather face with painted features.(It could be oil cloth or painted fabric but it looks like leather to me.) His outfit is original and is weak and shredding in places. His face is all good other than the tip of his nose has a small break. He has attached arms and legs and is quite floppy in a nice way. He has an injured hand that someone dealt with by putting a sock over it and it seems to be working well...

A pair of very detailed molded porcelain figures of standing pigeons. The glaze is slightly blue/green. On close examination it is clear that though they were made from the same mold, the details of the lines in the feathers, breasts and the bases were done by hand. A slight tint of orange shows through thin spots in the glaze on the bases. They are an identical pair rather than an opposing pair. Height 6 7/8 Inches (17.5 cm), length 6 5/8 inches (17 cm), width 3 inches (7.5 cm)...

A very nice sterling silver pincushion and sewing box by Tiffany & Co. The pierced sterling silver walls enclose a sewing box (or jewelry box) with two hinged tops that serve as pincushions. The current dark purple velvet is a replacement, but is placed over the original box structure. The pierced handle has an area that can be monogrammed (never been monogrammed)...

A fine example from the Quadrupeds Series, manufactured, primarily for the American market, by John Hall between 1802 and 1832. This particular piece depicts the pronghorn antelope, with a beaver, otter, coyote, and raccoon in the cartouches at the edge of the plate. Marked on the reverse a printed "Hall Quadrupeds".

The plate is 8" in diameter and is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration, and having the desirable deep blue ripple glaze.

Engraved Southern coin silver baby cup or child's mug by Brown and Anderson of Wilmington, North Carolina. Fully hallmarked on bottom, it measures 3 inches high, 2.75" cup diameter, and 3.75" across to include handle. A very rare piece and an excellent acquisition for the serious collector of American Southern coin silver. Circa 1850.

Bas relief copper representation of Leonardo Da Vinci's 'The Last Supper' dating to the early 20th century, German. This is an exquisitely detailed rendering in copper set in an ebony wood frame with fine detailing not often seen in this medium, artist unknown. Copper is bright and shiny, appears never to have been cleaned, excellent condition, some pitting in upper left corner (see photo), slight damage to lower right corner of frame (see photo). These two cups are not a matched pair and were made during the late 1800’s. The one cup has more gold in the decoration, seen when looking on the inside. The painted hunting scene has a hunter in a green jacket blowing a horn, white dog following a hunter in an orange jacket holding a rifle and a deer that is running, and a hunter riding a white horse.
