One of a group of very large Ming Dynasty pottery horse riders.

The figure is of a military attendant, wearing a hat and carrying a book or an instrument in his hands. He wears a blue robe with turqoise sleaves. Thick and very beautyful glaze. The unglazed areas are covered with white and black pigmented colors.

Note that the painting is very detailed and the perfectly rendered facial features.

15K Victorian chain with a link design consisting of two "paperclips" joined together at a perfect 90 degree angle, leading to a lovely unusual lovers knot link where the lover's knot is wrapped in a braided pattern several times about a simple oval link (see close ups). Very rare antique, first half of the 18th century, European pewter Roman Catholic Church paten of typical circular form with wide, finely engraved crest of the Roman Catholic Archbishop Jean-Louis Berton des Balbes de Crillon.

The coat-of-arms depicting Heraldic shield with the coat-of-arms of one of the most important European aristocratic families of the famous house De Balbes Berton de Crillon, crowned by the Archbishop Galero (wide-brimmed hat) with 10 tassels on each side.

Fantastic engraved 18K gold bracelet set with a shell cameo of the god Pan and presented in its original box. Clearly a one of its kind. The bracelet measures 1 5/8" wide, the interior circumference is 6 1/2", c1840

A clutch worked from a 19th century Chinese silk embroidery with Peking knot, the space beetween filled with tiny white seed glass beads. White lining and green jade imitating glass knob. Condition: lining with few traces of usage, clean. Dimension: c. 19 cm x 12.5 cm.

A rare, early English flow blue covered entree or casserole dish c1860. This serving piece stands 7" high with the lid, and it measures 11-1/4" x 10-1/2". It has a floral style motif, and it has a pseudo Chinese mark, minor variants of which were used by Charles Meigh (1835-49), Charles Meigh & Son (1851-61) and also Job Meigh (c1805-34), all of Hanley, Staffordshire; we feel it dates c1850-60 but it could be of earlier manufacture...

Finely executed late 19th century bronze figure of a young boy proudly standing, 5.75 inches high, in excellent condition.

This particular piece is a very unique, stone prayer tablet. It is difficult to date but stylistically could be as early as the Five Dynasties period (907-960 AD). These tablets were often found in conjunction with the ceramic offering vessels from Yunnan. The tablets would accompany the offering vessels and would sometimes comprise an enclosure for the offering vessels. (See trocadero item number 797164 for an example of the offering vessel)...

We believe that is is a Royal Rudolstadt Urn, despite the lack of a mark. It is decorated with florals, with a gilt handle and sits on a pedestal base. It is 13" high and it is in excellent condition. Late 19th century.

Very well crafted Continental .800 silver chariot, cupid riding the vehicle and pulled by a goat, late 19th century period, gold washed interior, hallmarked. Size; Measurements of this item are 9.5"l x 4.75"h x 3"w. Condition Report; Condition consistent with age, no issues noted.

English Imari pattern soft Ironstone two(2) handle Pastry tray, or serving tray, 19th century, 10 1/2" x 9" wide with two(2) handles in fluted rim, 1 1/4" high, Peony flowering branches decorated with underglaze blue, overglaze red and gold. This pastry tray feels very smooth and soft ivory white color and no damages except some gilding decorations are worn on the edges.

A beautiful, hand-painted art glass vase, made probably by either Moser or Mont Joye. The vase is 10 1/4 inches (26 cm) tall and 4 1/2 inches (11,5 cm) wide at the bottom. It is in good condition (age-appropriate gilt loss), without chips, cracks or repairs. The vase is ribbed and has bubbles inside, typical of old glass items. The vase fluoresces a gentle-green when subjected to long-wavelength black-light - typical of 19th century or early 20th century soda-lime glass objects...

Poesy rings were popular in England and France during the 16th through the 17th centuries as lover's gifts. The quotations were often from courtship stories and are usually inscribed on the inner surface of the ring as is the case in this one. This ring amusingly reads "A virtuous Wife Preferreth Life". We imagine that in the 17th century, a woman was indeed better off being virtuous! We think this could make a more unusual and unique wedding band than a gold band...
