German 800 silver cigarette case, ca 1910. Rectangular and hinged with curved corners. On cover are enameled sin symbols: Women (opera girl), wine (champagne), and gambling (cards and ponies). A beautiful and profusely engraved air twist Georgian drinking glass, the bell bowl depicting a woman holding a branch and a cornucopia, with packages and maritime instruments cascading from it, the figure flanked by trees. A very unusual Bohemian zwischengoldglass liquor glass, the bottom featuring an inset gilt and enameled design of a ladybug. The panel cutting along the beaker’s sides causes the design to be visually repeated. Small beakers such as these are normally decorated with a flower. This is the only example we’ve seen with an insect. The ladybug traditionally symbolizes good luck, so perhaps that's why it appears here.

This porcelain cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen around 1800. It has the first quality under glaze crossed swords mark. The style of the cup is from the early Biedermeire Period, 1815 -1848. The saucer measures 4 3/4 inches in diameter. The cup is 3 inches tall (without the handle) and has a diameter of 2 3/4 inches. The front of the cup has a very intricate scene of a city Bautzen. There was great variety in the forms of architecture making it an interesting subject matter...
