A very rare caneware tureen in the form of a cabbage with a mother rabbit and 3 bunnies peeking out of the lid. The cabbage with tureen rests on a matching plate. In very good antique condition, this item was actually used in its earlier days. Worth noting is that all the color in the rabbits eyes is still intact. Designed and potted by Ferdinand Burgard for Egmondville Pottery in Onterio, Canada, the underside of the tureen is impressed “10” and the letters “FB”. Dates circa 1850...

This porcelain plate was produced in France by the Boyer studio at Rue de la Paise between 1817 and 1834. The plate measures 10” in diameter. There is a coat of arms with a Latin motto in the border. A fine English wine glass with an ogee bowl with 16 flutes in the lower half. The stem features an unusual single series opaque twist (SSOT) configuration of 4 spiral tapes, making for a very pleasing appearance. Conical foot with a rough pontil. Good color and tool marks, with no condition issues. The height is 5 3/4", with a bowl diameter of 2" and a foot diameter of 2 3/4".

The cup has a split twig handle. All of the pieces have little pointed edges. It is decorated with tiny scattered flowers. They are brightly colored. All of the pieces are trimmed in gold. Condition: Excellent. This is first quality Meissen porcelain.
