An elegant Thomas Ellis sterling silver and whalebone toddy ladle with an elongated bowl with a rope twist edging. The twisted baleen handle affords a better grip and retains its original end cap. In very good antique condition, it is hallmarked in the bowl and dates circa 1780. Measures 13.25 inches long; bowl measures 2.75" x 2.5", 1" deep.

A pair of octagonal dessert plates by Copeland, the edges dented and gilt. Japanised, “Aesthetic” decoration of brambles or blackberries, transfer printed and hand painted with some gilt over part of the withered leaves and berries. Diameter "9/ 22.8 cm. The back with the impressed curved mark used by Copeland from 1860 to 1880, and N80, probably for November 1880. Condition: fine.

Elegant Victoria sterling silver pin cushion by Gorham. The silver surface is encrusted with repousse decoration of chrysanthemums and forget-me-nots. A rococo reserve is engraved with a period 3-letter monogram. This style of decoration is rather unusual for Gorham. The bottom is fully hallmarked, including the date mark for 1901. The pincushion also retains its original red velvet covering, a rare survivor.
